Man of steel is one of the most criminally underrated and misunderstood comic book movies ever made. There are some people that seem to think that Richard donnor invented Superman when in fact it was Jerry Siegel and Joe shuster and the character has evolved and gone through many changes as time has gone on. Not saying people should love MoS everyone has their opinions but the idea of a more serious and darker Superman story is definitely ideal for modern times because the cheesy boyscout thing is long outdated.
Yeah only if people could see the most darkest of problems they would be able to understand wow with all those godly powers and all these problems , he still remains uncorrupted and sexist as a ideal for every human to follow him . But people are so arrogant and entitled now , so dumb and superficial no wonder they couldn't see and understand that
He is so kind and such a gentleman and he is so nice and so distinguished. Henry is absolutely right about that how some people can treat you bad sometimes. He is the best Superman too me he really embodies Superman.
Elizabeth Lopez so agree,he's. The best for the y generation and younger, him and Amy make a great team😀and a lot bash that she was a poor choice just cause of her age. It's like come on do you know how many women go out w younger guys now?! If you think bout it there still within the same generation.
Astonishing that this perfect picture of human fitness and sculpted musculature used to get teased for being overweight. Talk about a total turnaround.
i really loved MOS and it saddens me a lot of people dislike it. it had a great action, compelling moments and amazing visuals. i liked the cast but i think amy adams was miscast as lois. henry embodied superman psychically and mentally! i cant wait to see dawn of justice but i hate snyder's castings for the flash, aquaman, ww...
BatmanFANizationReborn I actually really liked her as Lois - though tbh she'd have been a way better April O'Neill - something that Fox was fucking horrendous at. She simply can't act. Amy can act - and her role as Lois grew on me, but in general I agree - fantastic film, by far my favourite version of the films :)
Growing up with Superman I thought there was no one who could fill Christopher Reeves shoes but as I watch these trailers more and more Henry Cavill is Superman and this movie would make Christopher Reeve proud...Can`t wait for this movie..
First time besides his body I didnt feel henry was our superman but in movie when I saw the restaurant scene where he is insulted and the way he endures and inhibits the anger, that moment I felt he is superman
The greatest comic book movie of all time is, and will remain, Superman the Movie. MOS is shaping up to be a slap in the face to the fans of the classic version of the character.
Man Of Steel was EPIC! Saw it in IMAX and it blew my mind away with story, the visuals and the action! Go see it if you haven't already. I'm going to see it again for a second and maybe even a third time!
Henry Cavill will do fine. He read specific books to understand The Character of Superman. If you guys really cared about Christopher Reeve, you would know that he would approve of this move. ZackSnyder and Nolan are fans of the superman films and snyder is a fan of the mythology.it obviously takes pieces from Waids "Birthright", Strazynski's"Earthone" Johns"secretorigin". so to all those that are trying to hate on this film. Consider this, the actors help preserve legacy. respect that at least.
I'm not sure it's quite the same, I'm Scottish and anyone calls me English, they better be prepared for a Superman V Zod style beatdown. Not sure if Jersey folk would be quite so upset but don't think I'd want to upset Mr C, so I'd stick with British too.
Have you even seen the full trailers? If the beard is your biggest problem with the movie you should know that the trailers show him clean shaven, wearing a well designed suit, and looking more like Superman than any other actor in the last decade.
Please, people, let others have their own opinions, damnit! I also think it is the best superhero film by the way. But Superman: The Movie has another kind of appeal. It's from another age. Supes 1 and 2 are the best superhero films of their times, this, I think, is the best of ours.
After leaving the Theater and thinking, meditating, I still didn't feel like it was a Superman movie. I still hold Christopher Reeves as THE Superman And Brandon Routh as the next best thing. But the following week I went back and watched it again. I liked it just as much the second time. I still didn't feel "Superman" but now this is a new feeling. This is not Superman, but The Man of Steel. In case anyone is interested here is the link to it: amzn.to\1d0No16
you need to watch superman the movie again, and again and again its not better its visually better but in terms of being all around better NOPE and alot of fasns will agree with me on this, MAN OF STEEL was very good
It completely is better than Superman the movie, those original movies are good for nostalgia purposes and are nice to watch, but they're not fantastic movies, this is, it has depth,it has superman actually fighting for once!
This is probably the best action movie of the summer. Henry cavill is a great superman. In some ways he is better then reeves. People only like the original movie because reeves has passed away and out of respect believe it better than man of steel. The original was good in its time but would not work now.
Umm do you remember a show that was on for about 10 seasons named Smallville?? Yep put a realistic spin on Superman way before Batman Begins. Soo.... you're wrong!!!
during filming, he was much buffer than Reeves, Routh, Cain, Welling, or Reeve. Cavill was in ridiculous shape in this movie, this argument is just flat out stupid.
Brandon Routh, hahah. Hopefully they don't have Superman spy on Lois from the bushes in this one, wish any luck they won't end it with something ridiculous like turning back the world.
Oh you should've read the script. It was pretty bad. He made Lex an FBI Agent that was in reality an undercover Kryptonian. Then at one point Clark dies, goes up to 'krypton heaven' and is told by the spirit of Jor-EL that he is the 'chosen one' and must return. The script ended with Superman traveling back to Krypton as in the JJ Abrams version, it never blew up. So yeah, as great as Abrams is, his version of Superman was horrible.
