Graham chats to Henry Cavill, Amy Adams and Russell Crowe who star together in new Superman movie Man of Steel. Katy B povides the music (33:00). Aired 14th June 2013.
Amy describing herself as "creepy" when complimenting Henry Cavill basically sums up all of my experiences when in the presence of ridiculously good looking men.
Laurette Illy Haha, I bet you're not really though, I'm sure its just all in your head. Anyways one guys "creeper" is another guys dream girl. Maybe you just have to lower the bar to where creepy turns into "OMG that chick really digs me" lol
Henry is humble exactly because he was bullied and got attractive only later on. So he kept his personality but got hotter in the process. Hats off to him. A lot of people who are that attractive are incredibly self-absorbed.
How do you figure? He was in Count of Monte Cristo as a child actor and was beautiful back then. I don't think he was ever UNattractive. He's just got a genuinely good heart. I mean, it's not unheard of.
My Police team once did close personal protection for Russell’s band in the mid 2000’s in Brisbane. He had a migraine after the concert. The meet and greet didn’t go ahead for that reason. There was a ten year old girl that wanted to meet him. She waited for over 45 mins out the back. I passed that to his close protection team. He came straight out and spent 20 mins talking to the girl about his horses, even though he obviously felt ill. A local strip club had set up for him to go to the club for private, free performances, His response was, “Are you kidding, I’m married.” Respect to Russell
Say what you will about Russell, but he "commands" a room with very little effort. An impressive character. I guess that's also why he is so good at those kinds of rolls too.
Of course he can command a room-he's commanded the entire Felix Legion Army in Rome and the sailing crew of HMS Surprise during the Napoleonic Wars lol
@zwombi Just observe the way she behaves towards Crowe and others in other interviews, she completely changes her expressions of feelings just to get ahead in the situation.
I swear that she is the only redhead that I’m cool with playing Lois Lane. Lois is normally a brunette in the comics and I’m really only cool with Amy Adams playing that character.
Russel is amazing, the fact that he sent the kids gifts and kept in touch with them over the years, when he's probably very busy, shows he's a great guy!
Oliver Epperlein You don't have to be gay to appreciate that masterpiece of a human. The way he tell the story about his nephew is just goddamn.. It is impossible to hate this guy.
Noone Mentioned Henry Cavill As Albert In The Count of Monte Cristo :/ :(. I Did Not Realize It Myself Until After Watching The Man of Steel . Both Great Movies :).
I read the other day that, I believe a casting director or someone who knew Henvry and saw his potential tried for quite a while to get him to play Superman, like got him auditions and stuff and was detemined to make it happen. Well, it paid off I suppose.
One of my most favorite episodes. Russell is an absolute legend, I love the story about him meeting 'fat Cavill' and what I love even more is that he knows what the other kid from Stoke school has been up to in his life...
I thought this couch would be a dud but it was so wonderful! Crowe is surprisingly smart and pleasant, Adams is lovely and Henry is just... well, Henry.
Even though I'm straight, I have to give credit where it's so rightfully due. Henry Cavill is possibly the most handsome man alive. Even if he wasn't famous, I'm 100% sure every woman would stare and get wet upon laying eyes on him
Russell Crowe is one of the funniest people! The trio of guests were just perfect for Graham Norton who is equally as funny. Henry was...was... just eye candy from which I would gladly succumb to Diabetes in a heartbeat!*SIGH*
I had never heard of this show before I happened upon it here at youtube. I'm an American and find this show to be emphatically enjoyable! Quite brilliant, truly! Hats off to Graham Norton; a charming, witty show host whose interviews are memorable and has me laughing in moments. Wish America had quality channels such a this. Cheers!
I n the US they do not give so much artistic liberty for show men as they do in England. His hands are not tied down and he does not have the beep to delete inappropriate things people say etc. It makes a lot of difference. There is no artistic freedom in America. And this is why personalities and show hosts shine less. The one exception was Craig Ferguson his craziness was accepted and allowed. And look what a great show he made but the bits that he had to do at the end awkward pause and the others were boring.
@@42kellys Yes! Graham is the best. When I try to think of anyone similar in the USA, Craig Ferguson is the only one that even comes close. Craig was always funny, and I always enjoyed his interviews.
@@libbycampbell879 I know, l watched him a lot. What I meant was, that we love him for his sense of humour and that is British humour, not American. And that is why we love him!
Maybe not enough range of character, bond seems to be more for pulp crime fiction of fantasy from the 60's than the serious intrigue and mystery of today.
Maybe, but he can say some mean things. When told an ex-girlfriend of his had been eaten by a male lion whilst on safari, his only response was to say, I'm glad he ate her.
David Keenan What's mean about that? If I had an abusive relationship with a mean girlfriend quite frankly I wouldn't even care if she got eaten by a lion. I might actually be concerned about the lion's well being eating shit.
Henry Cavill IS the Superman of my childhood in the comic books of the 1950's. That perfect blend of "humanity" and Man of Steel. Best Superman movie ever. The others were good but this was the real deal.
ok henry is beautiful, blah blah. So is Amy. if i could be stuck with any of them. it'd be Russell. His story making ability is magic. thats an oscar winner. someone who can entertain on AND off screen.
To me as a woman, Russell is a ruggedly handsome man!!! That voice of his is grand!! Another actor with a magnificent voice and also ruggedly handsome was Richard Burton! Unfortunately, Richard passed before his time but I still can watch him in his great movies! Russell can read to me anytime with his wonderful voice! Always had a crush on him! On top of it all hes a magnificent actor!! Keep up the good work Russell!! 🥰👍🤗 Cheers! 🥂
The funny thing, I just watched proof of life again, last night. I love that movie. And I recall the scene with his son at the boarding school. And now, knowing that Henry Cavill was somewhere behind with the other kids.
Henry Cavill has been my crush for three years straight (slightly TOO young for him) but Russell Crowe here just won my heart!! Amy Adams is such a sweetheart
i just adore henry, he made perfect superman in every way. he is humble, grounded and just normal human being and in real life he is like superman. hope he his career will get higher and cant wait to see him again as superman and possibly in JLA. love amy adams she was awesome as lois and to have russell crowe as jor el is an honor, he is one of the best actors of all time. i wish a lot more people would credit MOS because that movie gets too much heat but in fact MOS is one hell of a movie and its a reinvention that brought superman to life again. cant wait to see BvS. great and funny interview
The Concise Statement thanks for everything you've said, its not to meet people who think the same and i loved man of steel really loved and i am big fan of star trek and i also liked star trek into darkness very much and its disappointing to see the reaction of hardcore fans who hated it
Def. one of the best pannels! They all had great chemistry & a great sense of humour. Also you see Amy and Russel's acting chops in the way they tell their stories. And Henry is just... well... he really doesn't need to do anything, does he? haha but he's pretty witty as well! And Graham hilarious as always! Bravo!
Love Henry's demeanor as he's listening to Russell Crowe's telling of their first meeting. 13:00 That's the exact expression I'd have if I were in that situation with Keanu Reeves or Val Kilmer.
Oh my God Henry Cavill..... just.... yum. He is perfection. I also really, really admire Russell Crowe. What an amazing guy. How could young Katie contain herself beside them?!?!? (And Amy Adams, beautiful of course. I don't blame her for non-stop touching Henry).
Graham does an amazing job interviewing the trio, asking each one interesting questions with relaxed humor that makes it all seems like a intimate chat among friends. (The cocktails don't hurt either.)
How happy Russell got when talking about babies, sigh. And Russell still gets shy sometimes. Not easy to notice it, but its there. And such a storyteller and always funny. He should have his own talk show.
