To me, this is something close to have a "real and most accurated lex luthor to what I imagine when I read a comic of superman" and michael fassbender would knock it out of the park.
What if jesse eisenberg had never happen? Whay if zack would had cast a great actor for the role of lex luthor, what if michael fassbender would had played lex luthor?
He could have been on of the best villians of all time.
