Here’s Larry putting on his Robby the Robot costume. We had some mishaps! Yes, my husband built his own life-size Robby the Robot costume from scratch! He learned CAD and 3D printing in order to make it. This video showcases all the steps it takes for him to actually wear his incredible replica costume of Robby the Robot, the iconic sci fi character first seen in the 1956 movie, Forbidden Planet. Yeah, it's tricky getting him into the costume. It works best when there's a really tall person helping out and if we have more room, as you could tell by all the times we knocked pieces of Robby over - lol! Thanks again for watching. :)

Brilliant, I've always thought Robby was the best robot I've ever seen after I saw the movie on TV when I was a kid. I was born in the year the movie was released and having ANYTHING Robby has been a dream of mine. There is now a bloke on Patreon who has made a full size Robby (static and wearable and many, many other Sci-Fi characters in 1:1 scale) that can be printed on an Ender 3 220mm x 220mm and I will be printing it one day, the dome of course is the problem but I've watched your video of the dome construction and it doesn't seem to be quite the problem I thought it would be, not that it's an easy thing it's quite difficult but you give me hope.

Yeah, Larry's lab is too messy for us to let Robby walk around right now. As you probably saw, we knocked things over a couple times while making this video. When we Robby to the science museum, though, he walked around. We have a few videos featuring Larry and his Robby the Robot in the "FUN Behind the Scenes" playlist. One of them is very short. But the footage in this video was all new stuff that I shot last week.

@@TuiSnider If you are interested in doing Shorts, they are in a separate category. They need to be filmed vertically and be less than one minute. That clip of him in the suit would make a great Short. 🧐🙋🤖

@@TuiSnider You could basically extract that video segment of him in the suit and upload it as a short. You can get a lot of views quickly that way and a bunch of subscribers. Even though some of the subscribers might not be the people you want.

@@TuiSnider The other possible downside is that views on Shorts don't count towards getting monetized, that is the word. I am not certain if it is accurate.
