These mothers are so cruel in what they do to these kids. My mother did the same & knew where my dad was. I, me, found my Dad when I was 17. She knew he was 10 miles away for years. 9 years we lost, 50 years we gained. I pray for these children.

I have watche a lot of Paternity Court and I must say, I have never wanted someone to be the father as much as I wanted in this episode.

This reminds me so much of my story. My mom had me believing a man that really didn’t want anything to do with me was my father. She never told me that he was tested and wasn’t my father. She didn’t say anything at first because she didn’t want to look bad knowing there was more than one possibility. I ended up meeting my father when I was 12 and didn’t know that his family lived in the neighborhood and my best friends turned out to be my first cousins. I missed out on all that love just because she wanted to protect herself.

Dang... I'm so sad but... I love how mature everyone is about this situation. No fussing, fighting, screaming, just mature people.

I HATE it when these moms say "I was trying to protect you". From what?! The only thing they trying to protect their children from is knowing that they mama was a hoe. Such a selfish thing to do. The person who is hurting the child the most is the mother.

The Mother knew she was wrong for sleeping with a married man. She probably didn't want her daughter because the daughter would know she was conceived out of Adultery. That's tough for a child to handle. That's why a man nor woman should be sleeping with anyone that's already married. It just throws the balance of life for a child into a tailspin.

I can tell the mother had a hard life. I almost garauntee she is a recovering drug addict.

Sometimes I watch the show just to get entertained then to realize that real people are hurt. I felt the pain of this girl as it was me. I felt the heart of this man as father that I am . I mean it is painful. I don't judge the mother yet I have hard time to understand her perspective.

It always breaks my heart when I see men that love their children from the bottom of their heart, who want to be in their lives no matter the cost, have to face the fact that they are not the biological father. Good, honest men like them deserve far better than they tend to get.

The mama seriously said she didn't ask. Um you're her mother she shouldn't have to ask. Mama also said she didn't like the lifestyle dude was living at the time. Yet she was messing around with a married man.

She oughta be ashamed of herself to put her daughter through this foolishness and mess. It's supposed to be about the child not her banging around wit sum married dude.

I have to give Mom’s credit for holding her head up through this embarrassing situation. She didn’t call the other man’s wife. She told him and he wanted nothing to do with her child. So she held a secret until…Mom accepted her role as a side piece for 18 years Now as women, these secrets needs to stop!! As we can see, through Paternity Court, the kids be destroyed!!

The only episode without any screaming..! It was calm. Loved it.

This was a tough one...I grew up without a bio dad, because of my mother which I discovered at 23 yo... Lots of steps who hated us all...I always dreamed and held onto the hope that "one day" he would find me. I found him, I sent my number to him via the sheriff and my dad called me within 5 minutes...we talked for hours, I found out who I was, why I looked opposite of them. I was blessed enough to meet my dad 2 times. The second time he was recovering from getting a pacemaker installed, which I did not know at that time. He showed up at my home for Easter 2001, my son came home on leave and my daughter wass also home...we talked and laughed and cried and after 2 wks, he went home with a full heart....he died Sept 4, 2001. I lost what I had just found and I was ANGRY. His funeral service was Sept 11, 2001 and we flew out for his service. We did not make it...terrorists stopped us. I have come to terms with my loss and my anger but I have also not spoken to my mother since 1999. Yes, I lost my dad, to a heart issue he had survived 75 yrs with. I could have found him to late. Time was stolen but time was given...I was blessed and I pray this young woman finds her dad and her "rest of the story". So many kids grow up with half a story...its made for many lost and unhappy youngsters. Be blessed and keep Mr. Thompson in your life. He gave you something you sorely needed and that has not changed.

The Judge saying 'Listen baby' at the end. So loving, so gentle, so pure. I wish this beautiful young woman had had that support from her own mother. She deserved no less.
