atallarafi the reason why people in third world countries don’t flinch at gunshots is because they hear them so much. There’s so much death and violence around them that they get used to it. The fact that Americans mistake common sounds for gunshots is not indicative of a third world country where the citizens have been desensitized to constant killing, but a first world country where people do not know what it’s like to constantly be in the crossfire, where they get confused because they don’t know what real gunshots sound like, and they actually get scared by the threat of death, like normal humans. Saying that America is a third world country, or worse, is crazy. America may have problems, but that doesn’t change the fact that it is among the greatest countries in the world
That would be because a guy went in a movie theater with a machine gun and shot it up it was all over the news all of this is in your face all the time for years upon years now all it takes is one person to scream gun in public to cause panic because they’ve continuously seen the aftermath of the lost children, parents, siblings

I remember when I was in highschool, boys would pop chip bags in the cafeteria, and the entire room would go eerily silent and everyone would jerk/turn to get up. No screaming. Just getting tf away. That's how used to it we were. We were so used to doing drills, seeing news stories, knowing victims, that the minute any loud pop or bang went off, we were all in fight or flight mode

A year ago, I was in a similar situation. I was in the mall when someone decided to light off a firecracker, and everyone assumed it was a gunshot. Stampede. We couldn't get to the exits fast enough. I didn't know what had actually happened until hours afterward. It was in the local news. I still experience some trepidation about going into malls.
“Returning to normalcy” as an Australian I can’t say i’ve seen a time on the news where America looks better than it is now. A false alarm is as good as it gets from what i’ve seen. Couldn’t be more thankful for Australia’s gun safety laws.

a similar thing happened at a local mall near me a couple months back had a “mentally disturbed” man jump off the second floor of the carousel and that noise of him hitting the ground made people think it was gun fire. I was in the mall at this time and there were people running, but not everyone, it’s like some new and some didn’t.
It shows a lack of understanding what to do when one happens, and how to handle it. Not everyone can handle it obviously but this type of person probably blows a gasket cause lil Timmy ate glue.
The kind of state of mind a mass of people have to constantly be in that the sound of a skateboard hitting a surface sounds like gunshots..TO EVERYONE OF THEM.. is ridiculously awful! How can anyone ever find peace of mind? 😔

You have to be kidding me. A guy making a gun with his hands tricked someone into thinking it was a gun. The guy probably wasn't even mentally disturbed. He was probably like "pew pew, what's happening?"
It was more than likely a hysterical moment. A sound and a person who mistakenly said gun or something propelled it. But we need to see both sides of the story.

They were def getting more calls from the same place. on 9/11 the 911 operating system put tons of people on hold because everyone was calling in for the same emergency.
I called 911 recently about a month ago because a random dog in my complex was loose and being very aggressive and chasing anyone who got near that side off the complex and nobody even answered. I called again and they didn’t send someone until about 20 minutes later. The dog chased and almost bit a man while I was on the phone with the dispatcher. The officer that finally came said he couldn’t do anything about the dog and that because it was a weekend I would have to wait until Monday for animal control to take care of the situation. Thankfully the owners ended up getting the dog inside.

Bruh I feel bad for the woman police officer, she was just trying to do her job but out of nowhere she got attacked, if that was a male officer goddamn good golly, that homeless man will not have good time I will tell you that much.. And that's why most of the police officer has a partner for backup
To me it goes both ways, I live in Texas and I’m pretty sure we can have guns on us but the only thing is if they allow others to keep guns on us then there will be a lot of active shooters but at the same time we can defend ourselves.
I used to be on the fence about concealed carry but considering that an active shooter can basically pop up anywhere now I want that protection more than ever

I'm not surprised. Even the bible says it's going to get worse in the years to come. Which is why Jesus will come back again and end this crazy world soon fortunately. No more violence, no more war, no more pain. Not everyone believes in God but just for those who do, just wanted to remind y'all that we know that humanity will end someday and every person will be judged by God for everything they've done.
@@nakomochi3117 most religions encourage tribalism, an "us" and "them". This leads to a lot of violence and war. All because you were told something repeatedly while growing up and told not to question it and it doesn't require measurable evidence. I see a lot of good in the world. A retired expert in a disorder that my son has volunteered her time to drive two hours on three occasions. She did this to be an advocate in school meetings and someone to defer to for information. She didn't want anything from it except knowing that she helped. There is a lot of good things happening, it's just not in the news. Also, you should watch the Dodo channel for some heartwarming clips.

Well...when you see people get treated less than human, and end up murdered everyday on one side, and on the other side people doing what they want with no consequences... I'm not blaming the cameras, I'm blaming the people on them.
While the woman was fighting with the homeless man, the 1st guy was helping her with his one hand, I do not know what he was holding in his another hand . That is really awkward to watch .
Remember a few months ago when a civilian put down an active shooter within 30 seconds of his murder spree, all because a newly enacted constitutional carry? Maybe we should do that.
I actually cried when that lady got punched 🥺 it was so sad omg. she looked so pure and sweet and wasn't doing anything wrong just walking and how dare that man do that to someone so innocent.
