This week on Drake Lawn Care, we found this overgrown lawn and asked if they wanted some help. Turns out that this homeowner is retired and was very grateful for our help and immediately said yes.This turned out to be a very satisfying transformation minus a few hiccups. A guy tried stealing my hedge trimmers off my trailer while I was working. I won't go into much details and rather let you all see in the video. Also code enforcement showed up half way through this cleanup and thanked us.We were able to prevent this homeowner from a huge fine from the city and that felt amazing.

Glad there wasn't any violence. You handled that well. Maybe you should get those locks on your trailer for your equipment thar I've seen other landscapers have so they can't steal your equipment.

That guy didn't WANT to work, that's why he's out trying to take other people's stuff, point blank, period! The second you asked for his number he slightly hesitated then said he didn't have a phone. Now how many people do you know these suss that don't have a phone? That's one reason he walked past you with that mask on. I'm thinking that he thought I'd you didn't see his face, then you couldn't report him to the police because you wouldn't have a description of him. If you feel I'm over stepping my boundaries, let me know. All he'll flew into me tho when he tried that. Not only that if he had kids at home, he can always one: stop having kids, two: go to a day labor place and three: keep his behind outta jail! I see why he don't have a job! Most people won't hire people that have been to jail for fear of something go wrong at their establishment!! I'm sorry, but that pissed me off. Here ya'll are, out busting your tails off to help the community and that fool just wants something for free. Maybe he wanted to sell it for drugs but idk. The only thing I know for sure is that because of what he tried pulling has sent me into a rant!! BTW, that yard looks awesome!!

Glad you talked to that guy and pointed out where his direction was leading, also offered help. Skills and results can give someone morale and a way to cope. 1) You offered help to someone whose yard showed they were struggling. 2) It was in an area of active traffic, so the good look you put there will raise the neighborhood's and passer's morale. 3) The reminders: of Southern Hospitality; working for what you need; contributing to the community were standards of the area. Excellent that you are developing a connection with enforcement officials. Some can direct you to places they know are in need, need a hand. A nice Recovery.

Drake and LB it is good to see how patient, calm, caring, and giving you both are. If it ain't one thing it is another. There really needs to be more paths to getting back on your feet after leaving prison, so I feel the brother's frustration but stealing isn't the answer. Look into how much it cost for a trailer locking system for your equipment. I am interested in contributing to the purchase of it. And that traffic was scary, so stay safe.

Thanks Gibson! I was highly upset at first and was definitely caught off guard. Since he didn’t get aggressive with me I tried a more subtle approach. I use to be the operations Manager at Harts field Jackson International Airport so I have experience when it comes to handling difficult situations. I’ve been meaning to add racks on my trailer but tbh I might just add them on the bed of my truck just incase it gets stolen again. Thanks for the support as always and I’ll be sure to create an Amazon cart or something incase others would like to contribute🫡

May have to get some racks with locks or a bed cover that lock. I keep my hand held stuff in either the racks locked or the bed cover locked. I may have to stop at the Home Depot or something so that helps me out when having to stop. That’s crazy!!!
