I didn't have an answer for the "tree" shrub question, so I asked a friend who has a landscaping service. He said unless the client ask to have it cut out (he recommends to them not to for the same reason), he doesn't cut it out. He said he learned that from his Father, from whom he inherited the landscaping business. So we know at least you and him agree. 😁

I don’t get why anyone one would ask why you are mowing lawn of a vacant or abandoned property? If this was across the street from me I would assume the owners hired someone to do it I would not question it. People need to mind their own business. Besides if this was across from me I’d be happy to have it mowed and have the improvements to my neighborhood.
