Kanchelskis was incredible. Loved him. Giggs too. Paul Ince - a rockstar of a midfield pairing with Keane. Irwin, best fullback United have ever had. Amazing consistency and reliability.
Been watching Utd videos all week , for nostalgia like . I loved Hughesy as a kid but now as a 40 odd year old I’m knighting him as the best hold up player of all time .
Kanchelskis was my favourite United player as a kid. I was a pretty quick sprinter at school and I used to try and emulate him out on the right wing. Unbelievable pace in this match, but also in the previous round against Charlton he was an absolute beast against Scott Minto the Charlton full back. Tore him to shreds. United seriously miss having quick wingers/attackers like Giggs, Kanchelskis and Ronaldo. Sancho and Antony simply don't compare.
Fantastic match, I remember watching it LIVE in the early hours of the morning in Hong Kong as a teenager. Always remember fondly these two teams facing each other in the 1990 semi final too. Great football days
So my first game was the initial semi final but I remember watching this at my grandma and grandad’s house (because they had Sky) while my dad and grandad were at the game. Watching this it struck me that this is Sky coverage rather than BBC. At this point were semi final replays not shown on the BBC because of scheduling, or was the coverage shared?
@@TheThedynamitekid yes the 91 cup semi was spurs v arsenal and it was decided to play it at Wembley for obvious reasons...so then they had to play the other there too... and then they carried it on then for the future years as the fa realised there's money to be made here....1990 cup semis were not Wembley but neutral grounds
