That’s actually such a double standard and persecution of Christian voices - I want to ask the police offer, why don’t you also arrest all the punk looking kids wearing upsidedown crosses and blasphemous things against Jesus? People are allowed to wear things that mock Christianity, but when people wear things stating that Jesus is the only way, people get “offended”, which is apparently more important than protecting religious expression. Just him wearing the shirt shouldn't be a excuse for people to be hating or shutting the man out. Theyre actually breaking the law by not letting him worship God. The sad thing is I have seen a woman with her 5 year old son in the mall with a shirt that says the f word on it and she didn’t get kicked but someone who is doing nothing wrong just enjoying his day gets kicked out all because his shirt is “offensive” to people! History:. He had been preaching the week before and was banned for 24 hours. Also, he was just walking around and not buying anything. The security guards eventually said if he started shopping, he could stay, which he did.

where is the follow up video that explains that this guy (Shoro from Ethiopia) had already been given a trespassing warning to stay out of the mall for 24 hours because he was soliciting. The story has nothing to do with what he was wearing. He was violating the solicitation law. - the same would have occurred in any public place (which is why they have those stickers on the front door)

According to the video, he was asked to leave just because of what his shirt said. It has nothing to do with his words or actions, and I don’t believe someone who does not love God or isn’t genuine would wear a shirt glorifying Jesus. This is ridiculous because first of all we have free speech so much more he can wear what he chooses to wear. People walk the malls with shirts cursing or with rappers or people and things that offend us Christians, so are they going to kick everyone out who is not for what we believe?

Depending on what word it is, perhaps, since such a place generally wants to maintain a sense of decorum. However, it seems this guy had already been warned previously that he was trafficking and that mall prohibits loitering and standing in the way of shops, which he was likely doing prior to the video

I live in DMV area. Me and some others have gone out to the mall to evangelize and we too were kicked out. It was primarily due to handing out gospel tracts. One thing is because we had bright yellow shirts that had Repent and other things pertaining to the Gospel. I believe this man is also from DC, although dont know him personally. The best thing to do is use wisdom. I was just watching your video of you doing the 'Ray Comfort' interviews in the mall. That method may be better in some instances especially the mall or on a college campus. The mall is private property, so we have to be aware of this (although we have our civil rights). Either way, we will face persecution. Yes to continuing to preach the Gospel!

I will say this to the mall cops, they aren't doing their job right. I just looked on the Mall of America's website for their policies on shirts, and you can't wear religious slurs. That's it, and this man wasn't. Whether or not you're a Christian, this is a bit excessive.

This mall cop (security guard) is WAY exceeding his authority. Would he tell a Muslim woman to remove her hijab simply because someone complained? Or some other religious garb? Maybe a Sikh turban or a Jewish star of David? I doubt it because it would be blatant bigotry and religious discrimination. But apparently anti-Jesus bigotry is OK. Why not kick out the bigoted person who complained? Also, this under-educated but over-confident security guy has no idea what "soliciting" means. There are apparently multiple meanings, none of which apply in the case. The online Oxford dictionary has, "the action of accosting someone and offering one's services as a prostitute." Uh, does not apply. Other definitions include: "ask for or try to obtain (something) from someone." , "to make petition to : entreat or beg", "to approach with a request or plea", "to entice or lure, especially into evil", "to try to obtain by usually urgent requests or pleas." None of these apply. This young man did not ask anyone for anything, he was just wearing a shirt that some anti-Christian bigot objected to. I'm white but come on, it's two white people harassing a black dude for no reason. If I was him, since it was being taped, I might have asked the guard if he thought he would keep his job if he wound up on the news making the mall owners look like they were a bunch of ignorant, anti-Christian, redneck racists. It is encouraging that God is sending missionaries to America from Africa.

From a legal stand point, security guards have no authority to tell anyone to do anything unless they have an M.O.U. on file from the property owner. Needless to say security guards have no powers to violate any ones 1st Amendment constitutional rights. This is no more than a security guard trying to be a cop! Either way had this be me, I would have shut the security guard down in less than a minute.

I know the sheriff said it's private property. But that is irrelevant because it is a public place, open for business. No one has authority to take away our freedom of speech!

See, I've noticed over a fair period of time that the world is getting more angry and more defiant towards anyone who is a believer in Jesus. I personally believe we're heading or at the door of the Tribulation period that bible refers to. I believe we need to be more careful and clever in spreading the word of God. 1:50 - The gospel has nothing to do with making Jesus the Lord of your life, that would be law-based salvation. A person is saved by believing in Jesus' grace for eternal life (Once Saved Always Saved), not "giving their life to Christ." 1 John 3:4 says that "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." Philippians 3:9 says "And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith."
