I have heard some who have been able to speak out. Some ask for their faces to be blurred and some even get their voices distorted. They are scared. It is so sad when you hear them talk about their experiences. I have been trying to tell people for a long time that these people are not able to speak out, and that these protestors here are making it worse for them! So sad.

If you truly followed it for the last past 3 decades you would have known that by now. And I'm not referring just to the death toll. It's horrible when civilian dies, no matter how many die. It's horrible to see children die. But anyone that followed this conflict even if it's just from 1967, when Israel won the territory of Gaza and the West Bank and Egypt and Jordan refused to take it back in the peace agreements. You would have known that Israel's actions were retaliations to events that happened before the attacks. You would have seen that before the blockade on Gaza, there was a significant escalation of terror and that Hamas denounced the Oslo Accords. You would have heard about the daily rockets that were aimed at civilian areas. It didn't start with Hamas, there were others before. And Gaza was given to the Gazans. You would have also seen the multiple peace talks between Israel and the PLO, that ended with Abbas walking away from the talks each time. Even after the offer from Olmert in 2006-2008. You would have known there was no intention of genocide. Israel had lots of reasons to go in there with the army so many times before. Oct-7 was the last straw, but it wasn't the only time going in there was justified. No side is innocent, but Israel can't be blamed for all, and the Palestinians are not innocent bystanders as things happen around them. For everything that happens, especially major events, people should look at what happened a week or two before. And that's also true for both sides. I wish more voices like his would have been heard and people like him would have led the Palestinians. It would have made peace a lot easier to achieve, a long time ago.
