The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy this holiday season helping a local man gift $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to bless as many individuals in our community as he can.
Scott is a very kind young man who tries to help everyone in need. His neighbor is blind and Scott helps her when her husband can't. He has given her rides to the grocery store, doctor appointments and other places.
This year has been difficult for Scott. He was hit by an uninsured driver and did not have money to replace or repair his vehicle. Scott now has to rely on rides from other people to get to work at Pony Express in Ammon. Sometimes he is two hours early for his shift and other times he stays hours after it's over - just so he has transportation.
Scott is always helping others, jumps in to mow his neighbor's lawn or shovel their driveway and does his best to always do his best.
Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves if we could visit Scott at work and present him with a very special Christmas gift. Watch the video above to see the surprise!

So true! With a massive wealth gap and wage disparity people like Scott have a near impossible task of getting out of poverty. Secret Santa is awesome, but it's sad that a secret Santa is necessary for people to survive in America!

Not every story has to be a heartbreaker. Sometimes it is folks like Scott, someone that works hard, puts others first, and runs into circumstances beyond their control. Those are the ones really need that break to get back on their feet. Obviously he had insurance because he mentions the money received went towards paying off the loan. There are a lot of people out there that would have pocketed the money and defaulted on the loan. Sounds like he does everything right, even arriving 3 hours early for his shift if that is the only ride available so he isn't late. This is the kind of person you want working for your company. I’m so happy he was at least able to pay the loan and save his credit and I disagree with the previous comment that most people would just default on the loan !! Anyways I love seeing a hard working person get something they deserve and put me in the Christmas mood !!!! 🎄❤️👍

Nate seems very genuine in all he does and definitely has a gift to make others feel comfortable and willing to talk ❤. Not everyone can do that, especially with a surprise camera in their face 😀.

I'm not crying you're crying! A local church is having a giveaway so my kids and I went through clothes, toys, kitchen items, etc and will be making a much different donation than we would have if not for these and the minimalist mom videos. Happy holidays everyone!

Thank God for Secret Santa! This young man deserved this car! Sometimes you can work your butt off but still are unable to make ends meet. Especially these days with the increase in everything from groceries, gas & other essentials to live. The only thing that doesn't go up is your paycheck! I know there are many who drive without insurance but how can you do that in good consciousness. I see many stop on police shows where they have people with no papers, no stickers or license yet they are driving on the road and fast and bad as well. sorry that this man got hit by one of those people. be happy that santa could come to him. I like this program. it makes me still have faith in people today. this and those programs were cop give out 100 dollar bills or people pay for food. this is nice to see. you see to much of burning down cities and stealing outright food and clothing and most of the people who do it are not in need at all. thank you for posting cheer and good will
