Thank you very much for this insightful video. Please I would like to know if it possible to show and hide fields in airtable interface designer based on conditions?
How to wrap a field Id when the title is longer than the value in the field. example field name is "send text" where the value is a check box. If field name could wrap, then more fields could be seen on the screen when the field name is longer than the value in the field. What are the steps to wrap the name because it is necessary to have the complete name to reduce confusion.
@@GarethPronovost Thanks for such a quick response. I found there is a long history of the request. The need is still there for more efficient use of screen space. Yes I also understand there are priorities for other more effective modifications. You have a Tremendous application so keep up the good work.
Great video as always Gareth. Question - do you know a way to use the new Field IDs with Make Automations? I love the ability to change the names of my fields and not have to worry about upsetting automations but looking quickly at Make I do not see how this would be possible as the modules pull in the filed names and not IDs. Thanks.
Hi Gary! Yes, there is an option in Make/Integromat for "advanced settings" in the Airtable modules. Toggle that on and you'll see an option to map to field IDs. I haven't experimented with this at length, but I suspect it's what you're looking for. I'll add this topic to my video queue. 💪
Great new video! I've really learned a lot from you channel! I'm curious if you have can point me to or show me something that can solve a workflow problem. I have social content scheduled out for classrooms that go out Monday through Friday for 12 weeks. When I finish the classes I need to change all the dates again. This is for 14 different classes 😬 I would love to change one "Start Date" and have it auto update the remaining dates to fall in line. Is there a way to do this? Right now the process is a little tedious...
@@GarethPronovost So awesome! I'm serious when I say your videos have been extremely helpful. I've only started a month ago using Zapier and Airtable and I'm automating soooo much. Freeing up a lot of time for my workload, giving me more time to plan bigger and better things.
@@GarethPronovost do you have any reference material for this? I'd love to see your video but hoping maybe you could point me in a direction to get started? (got a session coming up i'd like to try to implement) Thanks a ton!
@@yousawnothing644 I don't think I have anything on this exact topic yet, but you can get started by diving into Date Formulas: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WUQHE7MAGu4.html
The field management tool is only for pro, but anyone can use the field ID - it's just more difficult to find the field ID without the field management
