Always missing your shot under pressure? It could be a case of “buck-fever” or the anxiety and fear that often comes with having to perform under pressure in a moment of truth. In this video, I explain a little of my own experience with this and hopefully some useful techniques to help manage and perhaps, with some luck, successfully execute your next shot under pressure.

A timeless video. A lesson for life. Applies to about everything. Even the most accomplished archers say they still get all levels of anxiety when a single $25000 arrow is on the line. Learning how to override it is the secret. Competition at the local 3-d club then another and another. Shoot in the indoor league too. Go back to using your basic form etc to execute the shot. Pretend you are in your backyard practicing. Zone in on what you are and need to be doing and eliminate everything else from your conscious-any people any noise- everything.

Your videos are awesome! I’m watching your videos from eastern Long Island in NY where I mainly whitetail hun and love your vids. I’m constantly trying to perfect my archery and you videos really help with that. I see a lot of Dudley influence in your videos but like your spin on it. Thanks!

Thanks. I've no access to any "coaching" in Hawaii so the RU-vid information is all the information I learn from and Dudley being the most prevalent so far. I also really like George Ryals' information as well. The latter, perhaps even more to be honest. Ryals can break down even higher level stuff that I've found very relatable for my situation.

Very helpful video! Reinforcing slowing the process down is something that I will definitely work on.

Frik yeah I’ve spent years in the field hunting axis deer with a bow. Not easy on Lani public land but totally worth getting out there. Still have a hard time but now the experience has made a huge difference. I’ve blown many shots and it’s drove me crazy. But some hunts did pay off

I'll probably qualify for social security before I ever put my hands on an ibex, but a poor southern boy can dream, can't he?
