This is the best review I've seen on the Back Strap so far. I just ordered one yesterday. I've come a long way in curing my target panic, mostly by watching John Dudley videos, but I still can feel that its there. I love wrist strap releases and I think this will help get rid of my target panic.
Great review and instructional tutorial on Back Strap release. I just ordered Back Strap to try it out to get tighter groups at 100 yds. I don't think I suffer from any type of panic. When I saw a friend with the hand held back tension release I thought about someone should come out with wrist release with back tension technology, then came across Nock On website and found out that they developed on the idea.
Thanks for making a great video that goes over all the features to include the index trigger setting. I’m still trying to figure out if I want to buy this release. I want it for bow hunting and my thought is I would use it in back tension mode while training and then change it to the index trigger mode to hunt. My concern is the index trigger mode won’t be good and I should just get a dedicated index trigger release. Thoughts?
It’s my folks’ place. Though, in the future, if this channel survives my laziness to produce content, we may see a far larger backyard, range, etc to come. Hopefully.
I tried this release out on the weekend and compared it to my spot hog Wise guy. Not a fan of the trigger / safety release being an inch further back. I prefer the trigger/release mechanism or safety to be closer to the jAw. I really had to contort my hand to get it so I could disengage the safety, if I extended it out so my hand was comfortable,. Ie the trigger/safety lined up with where my spot hog was, I lost roughly an inch off my draw length. Might not make a big deal for some but when you're shooting 600-659 grain arrows it has a huge impact on arrow flight down range. Also found it very weird to pull through using a wrist strap compared to my other hand releases and back tension devices. Fundamentally the release is very well built it just wasn't for me.
Hope you are well. Why is my bow head comes back to me after execution. Please help me. My bow grip is relaxed, is it because of the light stabilizer? Do you use Facebook or any social media. I will send you my video. I am a great fan of you. Thanks
I did not notice any click or noises when drawing back the one I used in the video. Maybe there’s a tooling chip in yours or something? my silverback years ago (when I cleaned it out) did have some tooling chips in it. I’m sure carter would make it right if you contact them for sure. I’ve had nothing but good response and service from carter so far.
You'd be right. Punching with good foundational mechanics is killer. However, the foundation technique I'd argue has to come first and I'd bet most if not all of them are so sound in their technique there they can punch if they want to and be good.
Just a tip for you. Work on your bow arm elbow because it is hyper extended. Here’s a link of a video to help you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ROpGr80sL-0.html
