Constance Taylor, Conservation Specialist (Cal-IPC), and Jutta Burger, PhD, Science Program Director (Cal-IPC) share latest tools and tips for managing invasive plants
The discussion covers some basic invasive plant characteristics, how invasive plants are managed across the state, new and existing online resources you can use to help manage invasive plants or prevent their introduction, and how CNPS and other organizations like Master Gardeners play a crucial role in helping stop the spread of invasive plants into Wildlands.
Constance Taylor is staff Conservation Specialist at Cal-IPC with 15+ years of experience tailoring information to audiences; blending cultural literacy and JEDI principles into environmental education; providing naturalist outreach and adult-centered education; and developing, coordinating, and marketing programs.
Jutta Burger is Cal-IPC Science Director. Her interests lie in understanding invasiveness from a biological, ecological, and evolutionary perspective, and in preserving our native ecosystems by properly prioritizing and implementing invasive control, developing native seed resources, and facilitating restoration. She previously served as Cal-IPC President and as Board Secretary.
