Dalot is our only first choice defender starting in their actual position. Our pivot consists of Eriksen, an attacking midfielder we signed for free, and Mainoo, a promising but inexperienced youth player. Many of Ten Hag's criticisms are valid but there was very little that could have been done to stop that Crystal Palace attack when this is your only available personnel. Look at United's bench. We shouldn't have lost 4-0, but even scraping a draw would have required something special from our attack given the extreme defensive weaknesses. Palace are a good side, and we don't deserve to win games based on the size of our club. When we have all of our defenders fit, we play much better football. Most clean sheets in the PL last season. Liverpool have also collapsed in the past because of defensive injuries. It matters a lot. Everyone knows this season has been dreadful, but it's bizarre to think a different manager would have done much better. I'd give him another season with an INEOS controlled transfer window.

i honestly think United play like a side, that belongs in a relegation battle, so Ten Hag has honestly overperformed by getting United in the top 10 of the league, when they honestly belong in the bottom 10.
