How’s your Greek going I’m studying biblical Greek

​@@cw8790Alright mate. It's going well thanks. I really like it. As far as I know, classical is much more difficult. How far along are you? I am learning mostly by watching videos. I assume that's not really possible for classical Greek. I mean if you want to do comprehensible input, you can do the reading but you can't really do the listening. I always thought that people would learn modern Greek first and go from there. Best of luck with it ✌️

I'm so excited to get there. I just finished level 24 and am into level 25 (just over 350 characters) and god i love it!

The cards can definitely become overwhelming. I'm using Skritter now instead of traverse, and i basically ALWAYS do the reviews of the current level i'm in and then anything else i get in is a bonus. But honestly the system is so good, i don't find it necessary to always hit the older cards. Generally a time or 2 of study and they stick

@@SeaboltSpeaks How is Skritter for this? Did you make your own slides or did you use the existing MB courses that you can download? I tried using Traverse and it just doesn’t work for me for whatever reason. Thanks!

@@NoOne-gc5ot I just use the pre loaded one in skritter. There have been only a handful of cards i've had to put the word that manadrin blueprint puts with the character. I LOVE it so much more than traverse

@@TheGhostPlanet Yes! I really want to talk about them, how their app is so clean and nice and their desktop site is soooo... not. I also started using traverse again, but what i'm doing is, i'm just taking a few "levels" a day and goign into them and specifically doing hte cards for them. And i'll slowly clear them over time. (a lot of time, i have almost 2000 reviews lol) BUT drawing the character from memory without the aid of skritter popping the line in has really been benificial. I use skritter still for bonus reinforcement

oh nice! You are right there with me. I just started Phase 4 last night. The first few characters are fun it's 艮， 很 and 银 （blunt, very, silver) and then a few words to tag along. I love the program so much

I read in highschool a web page about how learning mandarin is impossible and believed it was true, i didnt more of it. Years later here i am learning Mandarin and it is really not that difficult and fun at times! So that is the truth, learning Mandarin is fun and not impossible. In particular I like how the words just want to tell you what they mean instead of something like ‘borborygmus’ Obviously the written squiggles help a lot when reading chinese, the spoken language is a bit more tricky.

@@ovrskr I completely agree. It seems overwhelming when you start, but once you get in you realize how smooth it is. Sure there are issues here and there, but it's actually one of the most fundamentally practical languages i've ever studied

To me it's worth it. I have no clue how it is for any kind of HSK levels or help with HSK testing. I'm not sure if they discuss that, It's not a focus of mine so i'm not sure
