Key west is a blast. Have fun. They also do jet ski tours that circumnavigate the island that are totally worth the money. Also, if you have the time, get over to the dry tortuga's while you're in KW. Have fun! Be nice to the reef!
@@kristofferbjornberg8075 Cool man, I was looking for videos of mandarins fishes in the nature, as I like to research, I was not only at the top of the list, I was searching more deeply and found your video. Thank u for u response.
Wow. Awesome video. Mandarins are my favorite fish, not just the colors, but the way the move. I didn't know they had such behaviors though. It's really cool you got first hand footage of this. Your video has actually given me an idea for my next book. Amazing video👍👍
They need copepods population in the aquarium as a food source. Seed your refugium and reef aquarium with copepods. Mandarin dragonettes are available as captive bred from ORA. OCEANS REEFS AND AQUARIUMS company.
My respects, Indonesia is my second motherland. Awesome footage and it's my dream fish for aquarium or indoor pond. Hope one day I will have a couple. There is a store here in NL and saw a few. Who knows one day. Again nice footage gr from Amsterdam
fantastic video, so glad you were able to share it for the english speaking, what a treat to see them going about their daily life, fascinating, THANK YOU
I would also add that although many mandarins in aquariums do struggle, the marine aquarium hobby has become extremely sophisticated over the last decade and mandarins are even bred in captivity now. It's not completely accurate to say that they can not thrive, although they are certainly not for the novice, or for a person who doesn't have the elaborate system (with lots of microfauna for them to eat)!
@@tookmyhandle2 i could maybe remove that rant in the description though if you have other experiances than me. But as some have described many have starved to death in home aquariums. What system som you run? Salwater ?
The males help the female to release the eggs by bumping into them and vibrations from their bodies. They are similar to siamese fighting fish. At least these can be in a group and not kill each other.
Thank you, what have you seen and experienced? I have see a video of them mating in a tank once. But since people seems too keep 1-3 individuals its kinda uncomparable. They have a unique group-dynamic.
Saya harap tidak. Saya ingin lebih banyak orang Indo yang menonton. jika Anda menyukai binatang, silakan bagikan ke teman-teman Anda. Aku cinta indonesia, sampai jumpa. Terima kasih
Ive seen my male and female do the dance and impregnate her but she ended up dying unfortunately i was so upset it was awesome watching them swim together all over the tank
