Always Keep a Lid on the Aquarium!! These (like just about any fish) can jump! Excellent video. I just picked up a pair (male and female) of mandarin and I'm excited to watch them grow and provide an optimal aquarium for them.

Just got my first one - been waiting along time as I had a purple dottyback (the Lucifer of the tank!) who was extremely aggressive. Well my new boy ain’t one bit shy and hangs out with the other 3. Beautiful fish and finally peace:)

I can't get mine to eat I tried adding pods with everything off in the tank 2 times since I had him over the last month n he's still skinny tank has been running for 3 years also

@@TOsAquatics he passed acouple weeks later,I think I just bought one that already wasn't doing good at the shop because I add a female acouple days before he passed and she's still in the tank looking like a butter ball lol

I had a 80 gallon reef and had a very thriving colony of tiger pods in there. I put one Mandarine in there and pods were gone in days. I was never able to get it to eat brine shrimp and it eventually starved. Unless you are good at side breeding pods or have a simply massive reef aquarium with enough macro fauna to handle the predation a mandarin is not likely to live long or ever convert to frozen brine shrimp.
