Watched this live with my high school band, we rent out a theater every year to watch DCI and our band bestie rents out the theater next to us so every year we get to see band shows while hanging out with another band
I watch this a lot ever since one of the band members in our high school band passed away this year. He loved the show just as much as I did and him, I, and the high school band watched this live. It gave me cold chills then and still does now. It reminds of him and I'll think of him everytime I think of this show and/or hear it.
I'm so glad Mandarins are getting some respect. They have always been really good and fun to watch. Very hard working corps and I hope they continue to climb the ranks.
Is the lead solo trombone part from my transcription on musescore? cause its pretty similar in terms of notes and articulations and stuff that were kind of not accurate to the original that i added anyway... idk
It seems he stole my brass transcription (I didn’t add the lead trombone) and your lead trombone part. Other than the articulations, the brass part is exactly the same as my brass part, with the same mistakes and parts left out.
Saw this show at DCI West. Had never heard of the Mandarins until my friend joined this past season. Easily one of my favorite shows from the 2023 season
When i was watching this live, it was so loud it nearly broke my ears, but now that i have been through marching band myself, i can comfortably handle loud things like that…
@@jakebaker1051 Most likely "Mandarins 2023 Sinnerman" by EchoSpark267. Can't share a link in case those get auto filtered. Other than one or two enharmonic, this video is almost note to note the same score. Pitches, part splits, articulations, and even the mistakes are all the same. I can't find anything close to the trombone solo written here, so that was probably transcribed by them.
@@darianwright9488 this is exactly what happened, (I am echospark267 the original transcriber), the trombone trio transcription came from another poster who commented similarly on this video (posting this a second time as the thief has deleted my original comment)
@@darianwright9488and what makes you so confident it’s stolen - they’re transcribing the same piece from the same audio, is it not possible they hear and thus transcribe the same thing?
@@SwIsH189 idk if you have ever seen a ballad before but usually it goes a bit like this. Besides, they didn't stand still. Choreography still happened.
@@lucasb3462 i've been watching dci for 15 years now and marched for several years of my own and i've never seen a drum corps stand still for an entire movement like this.
