Grammy-winning artist Mandisa, beloved for her uplifting Christian music and memorable journey on "American Idol," has died at the age of 47. The singer, who was found deceased in her home, leaves behind a legacy of hope and resilience, touching lives with her music that carried messages of faith and overcoming adversity. She is seeing Jesus face to face now, and perhaps the rapture is going to happen in just weeks and she will be getting her glorified body then along with us who are alive at the time of Christ's coming- 1 Thessalonians 4. The Lord healed me of PTSD after my "Christian" husband cheated and then divorced me and remarried. Staying single and loving and obeying Jesus for 17 years. Maranatha.

WOW, what happened? How did she die? I remember her being on American Idol, and when she was taken off, I remember telling an someone the LORD was GOING to use her. I had a really huge crush on her. I'm from Michigan. I always wanted to meet her, and I actually had wished back in 2017 I could marry her, but never thought I was good enough. This breaks my heart.😢💔

My first Christian concert was Mandissa with other artists I realized I understood that she was worshipping and not just singing 🙌🎶🎶 I overcame a surgery that mutilated my digestive system and I had to wear two colostomy pouches for allmost five years. I was near death at only 100lbs , the song overcomer was also my victory song. Because today I overcame two other surgeries that reversed me back to normal..Thank you Jesus and thank you Mandisa for your beautiful music 🎶 🎵 ❤️ and know you are rejoicing in the presence of the Lord🙌🙌🙌

I am a believer and I lost my young sister, she was 25. She died of Leukemia. I went through great grief and I was so very upset that the Lord took her home. I sought out an answer and the Lord told me this, John 12:24. Many came to the Lord through this life. Gods ways are higher than ours.

I had no idea who she was until I asked Alexa to play a song about good morning. Her song good morning soon became an anthem for my mom in the mornings. As my mom experienced more of her dementia, she will forget what that song was but it brought us so much joy when we would sing and dance together. My mom passed away eight weeks ago but she’s also with the lord.

Wow in the video above Mandisa is so transparent about what led up to her 3 year crisis of faith & contemplating suicide..,.after God pulled her out of that she declared that Psalm 40 is what she prayed will be her legacy ! Psalm 40 ~ 1. I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry. 2 He brought me up out of a horrible pit [of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay,  And He set my feet upon a rock, steadying my footsteps and establishing my path. 3 He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see and fear [with great reverence]  And will trust confidently in the Lord. Praying now that if God forbid her cause of death was suicide that the devil won’t try to rob others of their faith & hope …& that instead her very real battles aren’t uncommon to anyone especially believers ! And that her life & her Christian music ministry will be one of an OVERCOMER anyway !! And others will reach out to those in their life buried in their own pits of despair of depression & love & pray for them ! We are never called to suffer in silence !

2021 was a tough year in which I almost lost my husband through covid. We prayed trusted the Lord and listened to overcome overtime the enemy whispered that I was going to lose him. Mandisa’s songs Overcomer and Stronger were some of the songs that helped me go through the challenges of my life then. Since then, I have been extremely blessed by her music. Hearing about her passing shocked me and brought tears to my eyes, but at the same time I’m happy that she received Jesus as her Lord and Savior in her lifetime so she’s saved 🥹♥️🙏🏽

I knew her songs but didn’t know her as an artist. I was listening to a Christian station yesterday and they revealed the news. I immediately began to pray for her family to have comfort and peace during this time of grief. While doing so the Holy Spirit came over me as I began to cry and informed me that she is in Heaven!! In one of my darkest periods of my life, I ran across her music in 2015. Overcomer became my go-to song everyday without fail. I started to follow Mandisa because of her genuine and transparent nature. Since then, she became one of my favorite Christian artists... I broke out in tears hearing this news this morning. We will always have her music, also on RU-vid to cherish and be reminded of the cheerful spirit we all loved. I love you always sister, until we see each other one day! There are Many times over my life that the songs from Mandisa pulled me up out of the pit. Overcomer was amazing but so many more also, Breakthrough, You keep hope alive, Bleed the same, Way maker, and many more. I saw her in a live concert and it was amazing. She touched the world of those who would listen. She will be missed here on earth but we will see her again in heaven.

I 100% agree with her statement of being a bridge and how we get walked on by both sides but we can't let that stop us from being a bridge and living how God wants us to reflect His light and how He wants us to evangelize. Her song overcome was on my hospital playlist that I listened to as part of my pain management. The whole playlist was filled with songs of praise and worship which was such a great comfort through it all. It's sad to hear of her passing, may she rest in peace. So sad to hear about Mandisa passing away. I pray for her family and loved one's, and for their peace and comfort during this hard times. We must never forget that Jesus is our healer no matter what we are going through, and he came to heal the sick, raise the dead, give sight to the blind, and to set the captives Free!❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️

We watched her on American Idol all those yrs ago and she was a breath of fresh air singing Christian music. I was in awe of how she handled the body shaming publicly by Simon. I heard her in later yrs singing her uplifting songs and was so happy she was able to keep going with her career. Both believers and unbelievers can have life long struggles with depression. So sad for her loved ones. They will be reunited one day in Heaven.

Her song overcomes helped me through a strong trial where I faced fear, anxiety , insomnia and the Lord Jesus delivered me from these demons because that’s what they are we have a real spiritual enemy and the Lord Jesus showed me He has given us the authority to cast them out ❤ all glory to my Lord Jesus Christ!!!

Mandisa was a very beautiful soul inside and out. Her songs blessed a lot of people. She will be missed. God used her to bless alot of people. She is with Jesus now.

Promoted to glory RIP❤ i’m 48 years old and it rocks me a bit that Mandisa was only a year younger than me but like me she did struggle with depression and I suffered a traumatic childhood due to my mother‘s own mental health issues. Time is relative, but Mandisa’s passing shows how much God can do in my life through all seasons, good and bad with the time that he gives me on this earth. If I’m still here, that means he’s got more work for me to do. We never know why he calls some of us home earlier than others. But we have hope that we’ll see each other again and share countless narratives of God‘s faithfulness and love. Thank you, Mandisa for being real. Thank you for trusting Jesus even when your faith was shaky. Psalm 77 of David shows how broken he was, but still look to God.
