Often, depression and suicide are the result of some form of abuse.

Our Savior never leaves us, however.✝ I’m sad she couldn’t hold on, too. (If that’s the case) But very comforted knowing where she is.🌅 I pray her devastated family finds comfort in knowing that. They must, I’m sure. Broken Hallelujah is a fave of mine, too. I sang it to my mom at what would be my last visit w/her in the NH, almost a decade ago now. It came on the boom box I got for her & had set on K-Love. And brought worship CDs for her. When I hear it now, I always think of that moment in time.... Standing at her side in her wheelchair, hand on her shoulder, other hand raised in worship, singing it loud w/her door wide open! 🙌 A very special moment w/mom, for sure. And I look so forward to sharing paradise w/her & Jesus & the rest of my countless family members, including you, _forevermore._ 🙌 It definitely won’t be much longer.♥🎺🙌💜 See you there! 😁

Especially the past several years. 🤮 But do enjoy my ‘selections’. I haven’t watched Idol in well over a decade. But I did when she was on it, in ‘06. Like millions, I was an instant fan. Wow in the video above Mandisa is so transparent about what led up to her 3 year crisis of faith & contemplating suicide..,.after God pulled her out of that she declared that Psalm 40 is what she prayed will be her legacy ! Psalm 40 ~ 1. I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord;
And He inclined to me and heard my cry. 2 He brought me up out of a horrible pit [of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay,
 And He set my feet upon a rock, steadying my footsteps and establishing my path. 3 He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God;
Many will see and fear [with great reverence]
 And will trust confidently in the Lord. Praying now that if God forbid her cause of death was suicide that the devil won’t try to rob others of their faith & hope …& that instead her very real battles aren’t uncommon to anyone especially believers ! And that her life & her Christian music ministry will be one of an OVERCOMER anyway !! And others will reach out to those in their life buried in their own pits of despair of depression & love & pray for them ! We are never called to suffer in silence !

I am heart broken that she is gone, but are joyful that she isn't suffering anymore, and being that Mandisa was so grief stricken over the loss of her best friend, maybe that was God's reasoning for taking her. He granted that mercy and grace so she didn't have to miss her anymore! Just listen in her voice and look at the brightness in her face whenever Disa speaks about her best friend! As Sister's in Christ, the bond that they had was broken physically but spiritually they were inseparable! Though mercy by death sounds crazy to many, being that Disa missed her best friend so much, maybe she cried out to Him to bring her home so she didn't have to miss her any longer! Either way, Mandisa will be missed but her legacy will continue on through her voice and music!! Rest in His eternal love dear Mandisa!! God bless you here!! ❤😢🙏🙌

Some things are inherited and can't be prayed away instantly.

Not everyone is healed. We don’t know why. Paul was not healed of the thorn, no matter how he begged. Joni Eareckson Tada has been prayed for, & over, probably more than anyone over her lifetime. Even brought to the pool of .Bethesda. What an incredible miracle for the world to see, _if_ He healed her! One of God’s many mysteries. Joni is an incredible testimony ‘as is’, however. And she knows that. She’s now even said, she wouldn’t choose to be healed, b/c she knows her life would have never have been what it is today, if she was. She is _unbelievable._ And will walk again, in a perfected body, one _glorious_ day, holding hands w/Jesus.♥✝🙌 We are not to question, but praise & worship Him regardless. I hope you are somewhat better now. I will lift you up in prayer.🙏

She did deal with it she had a counselor.

I think it's great she talked about this issue before her passing at least we know 🙏🙏🙏😭 and it doesn't come as a huge shock and surprised when something as tragic as this happens not saying she did anything crucial just saying.....

I believe she was referring to a dear friend of hers who found out that she had cancer while she was pregnant. Her friend succumbed to the disease one year after giving birth.
