She was my favorite Chistian artist. I was working on Friday when I found out about her passing. I became despondent and had a hard time focusing but then I had to remember that she is now with the Redeemer. No more sorrow for her. Her song You Wouldn't Cry tells us this very thing. I am still sad but she is with Jesus now.

So sad to hear of her passing. May her family and friends be comforted. She was a beautiful person and truly talented.

I'm a dialysis patient, and hers was the last concert I went to in October, 2017 on her "Rise Out of the Dark" tour with Danny Gokey. I got a VIP ticket for only $50, which enabled me to attend a Q&A with her before the show. Who does that ... VIP tix for $50? The show itself was awesome. She was so talented. It made me so sad when I saw the news on Twitter. She will be missed. My favorite song of hers is "Bleed the Same" with TobyMac. Its message is SO powerful and badly needed today. "We all bleed the same ... we're more beautiful when we come together ... we all bleed the same ... so tell me why, tell me why we're divided."

Could not believe this news. I had just requested her Broken Hallelujah song to be played for my Dad’s funeral service.

One of the true American Idol success stories. She sang secular songs on the show but her gospel roots were always there shining through. After the show, she achieved her goal of securing a record deal with a Christian record label and the rest is history. Number one songs, number one albums, and many accolades and awards, including a Grammy. Her passing is not a loss to the world of music, but to the world in general. She used her gift and her life to uplift, motivate and inspire others and definitely made the world a little bit better place. She's with the heavenly father now, and the choir of angels has a beautiful new voice to join in praise and rejoicing. Forever beautiful. ❤
