It is simply amazing he has it at all, given that, but he still does, and in some ways he sounds better than ever today (this vid goes back to like 2002, give or take, and they're still at it). Went looking for good live version of Gonna Raise Hell and found "Music for Hangovers", which in turn led me to rediscover Mandocello - this has got such a great bass groove and a little bit of a hard edge (which is why I love Gonna Raise Hell as well). Cheap Trick ROCKS!
Robin looks a little too much like Kurt Cobain here. Though Kurt would never, ever in his wildest dreams have a voice so beautiful, powerful and amazing as Robin's.
+Heather A. Curt was 10 years old when Robin released this song. He has been looking like that for about 40 years or so ( he's freaking 62 years old!). Like Joan Jett and a few others his look has been the same for a long long time. Great music

I listen to this every now and then. Never get tired of it. Saw these guys by accident around 1980 (opening for yes or rush I think) there was bun e with a tie smoking a cigarette and a KILLER snare sound back when live, it was RARE. Now, a huge missing ingredient, wish he were still with the band I'd buy a ticket.

This is an amazing song. Wow what a beautiful melody, like a Beatles song. I saw them last night in Merrillville, Indiana. I will see them the next time they come around. This band has stood the test of time.

1st album was a band well rehearsed, with good songs worked at and wonderfully formed. Production could have been better but songs still shone through. A ray of sunshine in a world of punk(UK), disco and prog!

Robin Zander was my babysitter's crush. I was 5 years old when this record came out. To think that I was 5 and knew every Cheap Trick song at that point since she and her boyfriend would play their records on my "victrola" as my dad called it. Hilarious! I love the Concrete Blonde version, too.
Yeah I'm still not clear on how the whole big rift with Bun E began or why it's still even a thing. I know about the lawsuit and all (and why that happened), but how and why did it all start? I've heard it had something to do with Robin not wanting to relocate his family to Las Vegas for a month when they were doing the Sgt. Pepper thing there, and Bun E saying something like "fuck your kids" to Robin, but there has to be more to it than just that. I mean, you get over shit like that. These guys have all known each other for so long that they're basically brothers. They've done endless world tours and been through all kinds of challenges, so why all of a sudden is it now so bad that they can't just make amends and carry on as a solid unit? I at least understood the circumstances when Tom left them back in '80. This one is a bit more vague

beatles, (the two that are left) Cheap Trick and Rick Springfield sound great and could see them doing a performance together somewhere out there. or maybe with a Ticket to Ride I liked Karen Carpenter too. past fast thinker hold on to that blinker and dont text and drive. and remember our health care workers and police and firemen and emts important as We can't breathe with a mask on but we can, to be safe.
