it’s a hell of an intro. i think mandolin has has some of the most fun tunes to play till this date. they are so creative. their music is the definition of graceful and peace. they are amazing, thanks tim!
When i get home from a long FIFO trip, I'm camping for a few days in my favourite spot by the creek by myself for a few days and learning this. This song does something to me.
Love your lessons man. So good! We need a lesson for Settled Down by Mandolin Orange. There are none out there on RU-vid. Really appreciate all that you do sir.
Love the song, phenomenal tutorial, I have only been playing guitar for about 5 months and yet I almost have this song down because of how good the tutorial is.
Damn my goose is toast. You ever start learning a song and wonder why am I doing this? It's gonna take two months for me to sloppily learn half of this. Well here we go...
Hi Tim, your tutorials are the best! Could you consider counting in when you play in real-time at the begging? After working through your tutorials I really like to play along with you and sometimes its hard to jump in.
I really enjoy Mandolin Orange music , ur one of the few that have done tutorials, I'm sure uv gotten many request , I have not found any tutorials for "Wake Me" such a get song. Thanks for all ur videos, u do a wonderful job !!
Another terrific song and a really great lesson. I really appreciate your teaching style and method. It took a lot of patience and repeated views for me to learn this one, but I finally got to a point where I could play it an post it. I also found your Patreon page. Thanks Tim!
Well I got the intro down, gonna wait for my brain to heal till I get the rest ! Thanks for the video man ! I knew if I’d looked up there old band name I’d get better results
So I've spent the last couple weeks working on this song in my spare time and its sounding good. Thank you very much for putting out this incredible tutorial. But it doesn't sound anywhere near the level you are playing at. The reason for this is the picking you do is quite intricate. Do you have any suggestions on where I can learn more about the kind of picking patterns you are doing? I have a feeling its just by ear, but its very interesting hearing how you might skip playing any notes on an up beat, hit a single string at other times or hit a couple strings. And the emphasis notes is a new concept for me as well.
How are you able to make your strumming sound so soft? I try to adjust the pick angle but it adds a lot of wrist movement whereas i can see your wrist barely rotates.
