Was just about to mention that XD SplatterCat: "Wonder why my magic is grayed out? Completely eludes me" *hasn't noticed he is holding a shield instead of the glowing hand he waved during the magic* I do love the small detail of you being ambidextrous but the problem with that is it can confuse some people as to what is equipped slightly. Don't think it'll happen often enough though so probably a non-problem thing, but definitely an interesting detail.
@@M33f3r Probably won't be a problem in the full game, since you'll get your abilities gradually. Here they got a fully built character, with no prior knowledge of the game's mechanics.
Probably also just harder to notice when you are hands on rather than watching. Like, Splattercat said thay oh that kick is new, but he'd been dodging it before plenty of times
I noticed that when you changed to shield rather than the rune or whatever, the magic got grayed out. So basically, you are locked to a "class" based on your off-hand equipment perhaps? Basically, you were a warrior-mage, then turned into a paladin by using the shield instead of the "rune". Adding this to my wishlist of... 100 other indie games, great
Badass Creatures and a Phenomenal Art Style equals an Absolute pledge for this game! I’m blessed to be able to help with the Caretaker Pledge, but for everyone else def pledge what you’re comfortable with friends and they will do the rest! ❤️🔥 1yr and counting! No rush.
Loved the game! Also, I've noticed there is someone passing for you on the comments of this video. They probably tell people they have something to offer. Don't fall for it guys, it's a scam. 😅
this video is doing its job perfectly. I hadnt even heard of this game so great move on the dev's part. They just sold another copy because this looks awesome
The visuals are gorgeous. They strike the balance between colorful but still gloomy. Animations are top notch too and combat looks really thrilling. Lots to like about this.
This has to be the most impressive animation I've ever seen enough 2.5d game. This is top tier work this game has been on my radar for a bit and after this showcase it's looking like a day 1 buy.
Bruh. This game has been on my watchlist for the longest time too and I had no idea a KS went up for it until I saw this video in my feed. Well now I know lol. And man...the perks of being a content creator. I legit thought this had a public demo, but nah lol. Still good to see though.
Getting surprisingly strong Castlevania vibes from this game. Hopefully it gets as bonkers weapon/enemy/gameplay-wise as Castlevania, but stays this dark and brooding. Can't really hear the music, but some strong background music would make this game rock even more. I really hope there's a bunch more interactivity with foreground and background elements in the game, its something that's barely utilized in so many side-scrollers and that's really a shame. Enemies crawling up from the floor and walking in-and-out of levels are a great start.
AYO! The combats lookin' dope. I'm loving the aesthetics alot too. What really sold me was the inventory and character menu. Looked super clean and nostalgic. Can't wait to buy this; take my money pls 👍🏿
Agreed, very nice find thanks for all the games played that gives me a look and at the gameplay. Now is in my wishlist, too bad no release date though .
Immediately backed the Kickstarter when it went live. I love Souls-like game and played a lot of Salt and Sanctuary. This game seems like a more polished version of S&A, can't wait!
Never got into the Dark Souls genre - just not my thing, but this game - it brings back memories of "G.O.D.S." on the Amiga (more of a platformer / puzzle with bosses) and when an MMO brings out a new raid and everyone is there dying for hours and hours and hours trying to learn the tells and abilities / buffs / debuffs of the encounter.
added to my wish list, this game looks really good to me, it is also translated into my main language which is something a little bit rare >_> i thought we were only good at cooking spaghetti.
Never trust venison meat you find in a jar in a vampire's lair. This game looks GOOD! Very well polished. I like the animation style. Its a better version than most Castlevania titles.
First, i would buy this now the art direction alone is amazing and the combat looked satisfying. Haven't played a great ARPG exploration game in a long time. Second, I had to look and see if this was by frozenbyte because a lot of the attacks and level design really was reminding me of the Trine series, but its not them.
Looks super sweet. Polished aesthetics. Cool skill tree. Cool inventory and stats. Dodge roll is so weak tho, I wish it would go away. Just make a strafe or side step. Dodge roll is like “I have no idea how fighting is actually done”
Oh, fuck yeah. I'm looking forward to this video. That's awesome they sent this your way. I was completely won over by everything on their kickstarter, so I felt compelled to instantly back this a week or two ago.
