There is something oddly calming about going to my local Barnes and noble and seeing what’s new, and possibly finding new manga that I might find interesting.
As someone who watched first rent a girlfriend season and then felt in love with series and reading manga till this day all i can say don't waste your money on these series it's not worth
Ah I remember watching you years ago when I was so inlove w manga. Now I lost motivation even tough it used to be my passion but rediscovering your channel makes me wanna start again
wow they really arranged the manga in alphabetical order in my local bookstore, its like hunting a leaf in a forest and the publisher put a plastic wrap on each books, because some people think bookstore is a library where you can read for free
Oh my gosh I was just at Barnes and Noble the other day! The Girl from the Other Side deluxe edition looks gorgeous, I kinda want it really badly! I recommend collecting Fruits Basket even though it is pricey (I started collecting it about 6 months ago but only have the first 3 volumes). It is a great series and definitely worth it.
I was TEHRE not so long ago and I panicked when I seen that Spy x Family was still in stock, anyways I can’t wait to go back there again, you picked lots of interesting manga’s
3:03 That book on the left with the blue spine, Taiyo Matsumoto's No.5 has incredibly beautiful and unique art. I don't collect manga, but I've bought almost all of Matsumoto's volumes. If you haven't heard of him maybe you've seen the anime Tekkonkinkreet based on his manga series Black & White.
You know what, it’s always so nice if you go to the book store and they have all the volumes you wanted to buy and you don’t need to order them first. The bookstore in my nearby shopping mal is relatively small, the manga section is like one shelf with about 4 meters or so, but compared to the small size of the store, it’s actually really big, I mean it’s bigger than the „books for 12-17 years old“ section which used to be much bigger but seems to get smaller every year, and the manga section keeps growing lol. But they usually only have the first and latest volume of every series, but what I really like about the store, is that you can order books directly in the store if they don’t have them and they will be there in 1-2 days (!), and you don’t need to register by your name or something, you just go there and say what you want and come back in 1-2 days and they will have it. So easy. For the media store, where I buy anime discs it’s much more complicated, they also have a large Anime section (even larger then the western animation/cartoon section) but ordering stuff there’s really complicated, cuz you need to register by your name and it usually takes a minimum of 4 days, most of the time a week until it arrives.
@@mangatama oh you should be but I’m telling you the ending may be a dislike for you spoiler once you read the past history of the female lead and the …. male lead…😶 Tho to me I didn’t dislike it too much than others
You are so lucky that you actually have stores that sell manga all the manga in my country is imported and is SUPER expensive so i cant even buy a single volume since I don't earn and so I have to read online or just wait for the anime 😮💨
a shoujo series i recommend that i think you don’t already have is school zone girls!! it’s a super silly manga surrounding a bunch of school girls who are all falling for each other, but all don’t know their feelings yet and are all trying to figure themselves out. highly recommend for a chill and relaxing manga. and vol 4 is coming out in december !!
In the Barnes and Noble in my area the manga and light novels section is about 3x larger than the Marvel and DC comics section. I usually get my manga and light novels there as well.
Lately I’ve been in a manga mini shopping spree-- next time I go manga shopping, it will to get the next mangas in a few series both my son and I haven’t completed yet
I am just starting to collect manga and have about 20 or so volumes. I love ur vids cuz they have very useful tips for collecting and ur vids are just fun to watch!😁
ahh I hope everything becomes less stressful for you :(( sorry to hear that. but I'm glad manga is helping!! it's definitely been my biggest stress reliever too haha
I saw Ima Koi Now I am in Love at B&N too, I started reading scans of it online to see if I liked it before I bought it and 12 Chapters in I'm enjoying it so much, hope you enjoy it too! Love the video!
I surprisingly am not a big shojo fan but one I’m absolutely in love with is Library wars: love is war absolutely amazing I love the theme of freedom of speech and standing up against coruption and for what you believe in. A little summary basically Iku the protagonists joins the library defense force (a milita that fights against the MBC to preserve freedom of speech) and becomes the first woman to be on the special task force, this isn’t the best summary of it but I tried to keep it as spoiler free as a could. It’s super cute though everyone I’ve recommended it to said they absolutely loved it.
Oh, The Abandoned Empress! Recently got the graphic novel and it’s pretty good so far, the art is beautiful and it’s full color. They’ve been publishing a few Korean manhwas and it’s worth checking out too haha. Also the “I thinkI turned my childhood friend into a girl” was one I found to look interesting too! The art looks really nice, might be promising~ also AHAHA LOVE OF KILL Oh my goodness it was quite good, the anime came out not long ago (with Shimono Hiro voicing the ML!) but I feel like it was better as the manga XD
i’m currently collecting the Rent a Girlfriend series and it was one of the stories that got me hooked on manga, unpopular opinion but i just think its rlly good :) Loved this video as always🥰
The in,y two mAnga books I have is my hero academia and promised never land I have never really been into reading before but promised never land has been SO GOOD I HIGHLY recommend that book it’s so good!!
If you have one in your area, I'd suggest checking out a Second and Charles as well! It's a used book store so it's cool to see what kinda manga they might have. I've found some used hxh, hana kimi, and most of demon slayer. They also have new books too, but I like to try to pick out the used ones cause they're normally cheaper XD
great video as always!! really enjoyed it :) if you're looking for shoujo romance series, I would definitely recommend you: -high school debut -wake up, sleeping beauty -takane & hana -my love mix-up (super funny) -honey so sweet -my happy marriage (manga, but the light novel is great too) -daily report about my witch senpai -the saviors book cafe story in another world (isekai) -those not-so-sweet boys -qq sweeper (prequel) and queens quality (action and fantasy is the main genre, but the romance is amazing) -the kings beast (same here) -sacrificial princess of the beast (fantasy and a political series with great romance here too) not a shoujo (it's a seinen), but I love skip and loafer and it's truly such a good slice of life series with romance included. one of my favorites :)
Love your selection~ I'm really considering starting sign of affection. Lately I find myself wanting settings around college age n up~ also gonna with the dress-up darling anime! btw your hair color is very cute 🍒🌸
Hey, weren't you hoping for The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses to get released in English? The preorder for it is part of the weekly sale at rightstuf right now. I will probably end up getting it. Thanks for the recommendation!
You've got to be kidding me it wasn't like this like 5 years ago I remember they had their own small little section in the corner but everything else like mostly crafts and skills were there too
Hi i recently found ur channel and I just want to say ur editing style and music choice is so relaxing I could watch all day. Keep it up! Love the manga content a ton
I like the plot of remarried empress at first and thought that it would be a good one but the decisions made by the fl at the last part were quite disappointing for me.
9:12 Urusei Yatsura!! Recently bought vol 13 earlier this month One of your notes in the bottom said this manga is unsettling I couldn't make out the name that much and just wrote my wife has no emotion, found it read the synopsis it's seems really weird.
just a suggestion I would really recommend beyond the clouds and a silent voice silent voice: about a deaf girl who gets bullied at school.. ( try to keep it spoiler free lol) beyond the clouds: a guy named Theo finds a girl called Mia with wings... I am vey sorry if u don't understand what I am saying I am very sorry
i have been on a manga break because i don’t have a lot of money and i haven’t been watching ur videos because i wanted to forget ab manga but oh god , ive missed this so much! i love your videos and i’m going to start reading manga again!! do y’all think i should read nana and if y’all have any recommendations please let me know 😊😊
