Came here after listening to the remix. Original is original. They might have remixed but they were not able to match the musical magic of A.R. Rahman;s original. Every layer of this song is a masterpiece.
Yes, surely. But what I feel is that being modern is not always superior. For eg., songs these days are copies of the past. They lack melody. So, one forgets them in a couple of weeks.
When this song was first released, it was criticised big time for the jarring music. But 26 years later it still sounds so fresh and awesome. Way way ahead of its time.
Can anyone here believe that this master piece was made nearly three decades ago!!! Hit the Like button of this comment if you were a teen when the musical splash first hit the screens in the mid 90's
The electronic music elements in this track are out of the world...If Rahman were to go produce electronic music he would be a bigger producer than Deadmau5, Eric Prydz and Daftpunk...especially from 4.02 to 4.50 ...holysmokes!!!
@@gauravsrivastava2461 Its an amazing song, but listen to devil inside. Entire bass is copied from there. But when u make songs like this all is forgiven
This composition is truly ahead of its time 1 There is a break in tempo and beats were scrambled/ shuffled 2. The choir is out of this world 3. This song is truly international 4. introducing afro-jazz 5. And at last, the use of Indian classical alap with jazz rendition 6 Adleap has this beautiful R&B Rhodes and bell piano is the cherry on the cake. If any bullshit person thinks the remix is better should check their ears and they do not have any music sense at all
Actually, ARR had so many musical blasts at south before Rangeela! Uzhavan, Kizhakku Cheemailyile, Gentleman, Pudhiya Mugam, Kaadhalan, Thiruda Thiruda, Bombay, May Maadham, Karuththamma, Duet etc.

Did anyone notice the beauty of forest episode (1:53 to 2:50) in this song. (1) First, there is change in the tempo (fast beat) of the song. Music is extraordinary. Kudos to ARR!!! (2) Second, the dance on the forest floor is so graceful. Kudos to Dance Director!!! (4) Urmila's look and costume is extraordinary!!! Kudos to Manish Malhotra (But Aamir's dress is looking a little bit out-of-the-frame, here. he also could have been dressed as a tribal too ... but, because Aamir is a Tapori in this move, his dress style is a bit eyesore for majority of this movie. :) and maybe that is the reason why RGV wanted to continue the same trend in this song too!!! :) who knows.) (3) a brief eyeball dance by AA & U is so so unusual and yet, so eye-catching!!! :) Kudos to the genius RGV!!!. 4) Finally, the constant staring between AA-&-U and camera flying and rolling all over them, and keeping then in center of focus. Kudos RGV!!!
The Music , The Background Score , every Nuances that was presented by Maestro was so magical back then , whenever Jackie Shroff came on screen or whenever Aamir Khan appeared , each character had their own background theme , which was never done before in Bollywood , The Concept was so fresh and unique back then ,the music kept you glued to the movie , ofcourse the Performance by Aamir Khan was out of this world. I still remember When the promos were being aired on TV back then , their was no presence or even a Glimpse of Aamir Khan be it in the teaser or trailers etc , it was all about Urmila , Urmila and Urmila and some portions of Mr Shroff , no one even cared about the story etc , people just went blindly to the theatres , only to catch the Sensual Appeal of Urmila ,I still remember , while exiting the Movie Arena , everyone was appreciating Mr Khan's Performance and A R Rahman's magical Music. True Art , Sublime.
Legendary Movie Rangeela. Legendary Music by A. R. Rahman. Everyone did great in this movie. Aamir and Urmila were amazing in their roles. Manish Malhotra's costumes were revelation at the time. Ahmad Khan's choreography was so new. Rangeela was a breath of fresh air in stale bollywood of that time.
@Chandan Sharma In my opinion Yes! Apart from some rare good movies, people were busy making movies on the same stale formula. Rangeela broke all of that. Everything about Rangeela was so refreshingly different from what movies looked like in Bollywood at the time.
@@pranavparashar8088 In a way it changed the formula. Movie was very different from a conventional formula bollywood movie. There was no villain/physical conflict in the movie. None of the male leads were evil or bad in any way. That was refreshing.
All was good , but music it didn't feel people better . It was totally different from people taste . Isilye abhi bhi koi nhi sunta ye film ke gaane ko .
No other bollywood movie had a soundtrack close to Rangeela in 1995 and even today. I own Rangeela CD and playing it my on Hifi Sound System and it is the best way to treat to my ears. I am still listening it in 2023. I was lucky to watch in theater in India, not easy to get ticket :)
Everything is perfect in this song.... Music, lyrics, choreography, costumes, actor, actress , cinematography, location, dancers ho how can I forget the director.....
This movie was ahead of its time because of Its dances, Photography, Music, Direction, story telling, lights, costumes. A R Rahman got introduce to bollywood, Dance director who was assistant to saroj khan got opportunity, Manish Malhotra the fashion designer got opportunity as his boss was not there in India. Like wise few assistant directors, actors. Ram Gopal Varma definitely was on hit list than because there about 12 movies which could not be released as this movie took away the screens, audience mind and thought of movie was stolen to a greater extent. That other parallel movie halted their release for few months and few for a year as they didnt want to incur losses. Best part is, everybody got attracted to Rangeela Ra song but there were other songs too which could`nt be seen with family. So technically the DD channels, V TV, MTV, AXN, Zee tv were turned off when other songs use to come. Boys who were in school and colleges liked it but because of fear of parents and siblings, it used to be turned off. I wish to go back to 90s if God grants a wish.
Came here after accidently listening to 30seconds of the remix. AR Rahman is a legend and so grateful to be part of that generation so much so that even 2022 remix songs can't even match even 1% of that adrenaline ❤️
Mangta Hai Kya remix version is such a powerless version of the original track......thereby killing the spark of this version which was provided by the music and vocals of A R Rahman.
Aamir & Urmila perfect jodi ever in bollywood 💗 but this is the only film that they share screen space together. So sad they did worked together in other movies 😔
The memories related to Rangeela are still so fresh from being a 12 yr old kid till date doesn't feel it's been 25 years already... The movie marked the collaboration of 2 legends Aamir Khan & AR Rehman together as they both created magic that doesn't fade and nor will it ever ..can't imagine Rangeela without Aamir outstanding performance and AR Rehmans background score and chartbuster songs I miss 90s
Hey Jasbir - I was 13 in 1995 so can totally relate bro. I still remember when I got the cassette it had the inscription on the cover as "AR Rahman's first original hindi composition". Gone are those good old days.
@@meet_the_beast more of camera work where it's difficult to focus on expressions, moves, so many frames in one sequence makes it difficult to focus on the flaws. The whole performance was off beat with no finishing. Being a 21st century child I think this song is a huge mess and have spoiled the original!!!
Dude s crazy in 90s.... seem silent but frm inside volcano...... No one tht era knows whts going on.... Arr shivmani.... Rock pop jazz opera country classical folk...all Yet thunderous.....❤❤❤❤
Aaj ke date me aaj ki generation har chiz me shayad purane time ke art ka mazak uda le ya khud ko better, gen z aur bhut kuch bol le par music me to ye generation agle aur 10 generation tak ye level match ni kar paegi jo level A.R Rehman sir ne set kar diya hai unhone agle 10 generation ke level ka kaam aaj se 10-20 saal pehle hi kar rakha hai taki wo unke masterpiece ko remix kar kar ke barbad kar sake aur apna pet paal sake 😂😂😂i mean ye music aaj itne saal bhi us level pe stand krta hai ke koi aa nahi skta hai socho kya level tha hai aur rhega unka ❤️❤️
