Thank you, George, for showing this. I’ve been a TMT fan for forty years. I have all the albums, then cd’s, and I’ve watched one-song performances as they’re shown on RU-vid. This was bliss! They’ve been at this fifty years! I’m seventy-nine and they have always been my Number One. Thanks!
This is just so wonderful , I have been a fan since Tim's first album , sad to think he is no longer with us , they were best vocal band I heard in my life , thank you for posting this
I loved their show. Hearing Tuxedo Junction brings back so many happy memories. My husband was friends with Laurel's grandparents and we visited them often. Her grandfather, Leonard Kronendonk was with Fred Waring's Pennsyvanians, one of the finest bass-baritones of his era.
I have wanted to see one of their shows again for sooooo long! I remember this as a summer replacement and just fell in love with the group! AND the music! Thank you for posting!!!!!!!!
First Tv show we were in a motel room in New Mexico on vacation. I fell in love with them and have been a fan ever since. One of their concerts was the best concert i ever went to!❤❤❤❤😊
Ohhh, how I've loved this group ! Through all iterations & musical changes. Such talent ! ----------RIP, Tim Hauser, & Eldorado Caddy .-----------------MJL, 76 y/o
I can remember watching this when it aired back during the summer of '75. So much fun, and the Bicentennial Minute at the end was a nice bonus. They advertised "The Dick Cavett Show" as airing on Saturday nights at 10 p.m. Carol Burnett must not have moved to that timeslot yet.
Wow, what a gem!!!! Here in the UK I had no idea such a show existed. Was it weekly? How many episodes? Are any more available now?! I fell in love with the ManTran when Chanson d'Amour hit the charts here in '76, and I avidly bought and devoured all their early albums. In fact Chanson and then Je t'attends lit the spark for French in me and determined the entire direction of my life to this day. God bless ManTran (and the wonderful Laurel Massé, who was such a loss to the group) - now finished their final tour, but I pray they'll be tempted to return from retirement someday 🙏❤❤
No wonder people are walking away from today's music. No wonder why there's no artist out there that has "longevity." Time to shut the music industry down... permanently.
i totally did NOT expect Jon Voight would, in a million years, ever connected to The Manhattan Transfer. man, how times've changed. He used to be an okay dude.
Thanks to this poster! I must admit to having seen the original broadcast. So be kind to an old, olde cat lady. We’re a dying breed. Now there are non-binary semi-cis-gendered feline-preferring persons of potentially pre-surgical transgender presentation-if you will, guvna. Now what? Why, Manhattan Transfer (Brad, GET OUT OF MY AUTOCOMPLETE! You’re already well-rooted in my heart, mind, and soul. And yet, and yet: Have our mutually yearning lips EVER met? And yes, I ran away. But did YOU give chase? Yeah. There it is. I’m broken AND broke. You’ve proven you know how to find me. HELP! Now would be the time.
