I love history and I enjoyed it. All these events happened in my back yard. The most jarring thing for me, honestly, was the inaccurate interior architecture of Ford’s Theatre, especially the box.

I am really shocked this review only has 125 views so far. I was really excited for this one just because I have been loving everything that Apple TV has done and to get a narrative on history of Abe Lincoln and John boothe is awesome. I figured more people would tune in for this one.

I wish they didn't jump all over in the pilot. "10 minutes earlier," "5 hours later," "45 minutes earlier," etc. It was unnecessary and just clogged up the pacing imo. I think limiting the time jumps or just doing it chronologically would've built up better suspense. I hope the other episodes don't do that.

As a historian, too many historical in accuracies. Boothe did not yell freedom for the South after he shot Lincoln. The Series has him breaking the wrong leg. It was the left leg not the right. Stanton is miss quoted and as saying "Now he belongs to angels. He said ages not angels. The Actor playing Stanton looks nothing like real Stanton and Stanton relationship with Lincoln was not as chummy as the series portrays. The Book the show is based is great, but show is mediocre at best.

And Lincoln was in his clothing when he died but was actually undressed when he died as well

Mixed review Tobias Menzies as Edward Stanton and Tony Boyle as Booth were great. Also great to see Lily Taylor (always good in every role I've seen her in). On the other hand Hamish Linklater as Lincoln was just God awful (I've High School actors do better). Patton Oswalt was the second worst casting in the Show...how anyone casting this saw him as anywhere near a military command was totally delusional. The rest of the cast was good. I really liked the actor portray President Johnson. The writing...the writing...not so much..too much modern venacular..cabinet members...presidents...soldiers talking like they're having a conversation at a Starbucks. Do better next time.
