remember that from the box, they figured out that the callings were just memories... so going back in time, all that happened were memories from the future
Questions I have 1) What happened to the world with 828 and the people in it? 2) Why do the passengers remember what happened but not Zeke? Didn’t he survive his death date just like the others? 3) Will the apocalypse that happened in the 828 world still happened in the world the passengers are living in now? 4) Won’t the NSA have to detain passengers again since 11 people are missing from the flight? Overall good ending, loved the show but I wish they would’ve showed how they’re in the future or gave us detail on the 828 world.
1)that world is either erased by god. or that world still exists but with no 828ers. which makes sense coz a lot of people in the world hated them. 2) Zeke and a few others died before the death date. God brought them back coz they were killed 3) no apocalypse that happened in the 828 world did not happen coz the 828ers survived their death date 4)NSA can only question the passengers. they had nothing to do with the missing 11.
In this the 828 timeline resets like nothing happened. So people like the major are probably alive. I think zeke got the same special reset like cal bec of his sacrifice. The police investigation will be interesting but it happened to quickly it should have been hours before the feds kick in
The ending is absolutely amazing because now that they passengers know what the future holds, they are going to do things differently. Dr.Saanvi is going to find the cure quickly for Cal....because she already knows what to do. and TJ can decide if he wanna wait for the young Oliver. Grace is not going to die since angelina is no longer alive, or even if she was, Ben would do anything to protect his family since he already know everything 😊
Why people keep thinking bout tj and olive at first he dated his peer olive the were the same age cuz of flight 828 now he’s the same age now she’s a little girl u think as a grown man he’s gnna wait for her to become a teenager lol statutory territory to me lol
Daly did come back, he just wasn’t shown. While on the plane, Ben mentioned that 11 passengers exploded, the same number reported by Vance when he is entering the airport. Every passenger who died before judgement day came back
Overall, I loved the show and was satisfied with the ending (barring the hard reset on reality cause I can't stand that narrative mechanic). However, this was the first time I wish fan service never happened. - Like, absolutely *no one* needed to watch Michaela pull Jared's chain one last time (and her trying to set him up with Drea as a reason is absurd cause Jared's more than proven that he's not into Drea like that, having a baby with her wasn't enough to make him be into her like that, and I highly doubt that meeting her at a different point in time and possibly - but very, very unlikely - having a *different* baby with her will make him be interested in pursuing an actual relationship with her). - Ben and Saanvi ended up feeling cheap. - And correct me if I'm wrong, but Michaela just willfully signed herself up to attach herself to a man that's currently in the thick of an ongoing battle with depression and addiction, and this time, he doesn't even have a spiritual connection or divine purpose to help motivate him toward change. Like, good for her, but that is a *choice.*
Im glad somebody said it. It seemed like Jared and Michaela always wanted each other. But, suddenly, Michaela decided they wanted different things because he knocked up Drea🙄
OK so is nobody else concerned about them not curing Cal in time do you remember originally the reason why cal survived while he was still sick it’s because the plane disappear for five years so when they came back Sanvi research had just started and they were just starting clinical trials so I’m just concerned now that they went back to their original time does Cal have five years to hold onto so that he is cured or are they gonna have to lose Him for the umpteenth time. Also it’s kind of weird knowing that Sanvi and Ben slept together like of course nobody knows. But now that they’re both back with their love interest its kind of weird I don’t know it’s like I wish the passengers would’ve forgot what happened as well but all in all it was a good ending it was bitter sweet. I was glad that everything got to go back to normal but I got so used to how the show was. I’m so glad that cal and olive got to go back to being kids but at the same time I felt bad for TJ because Olive was the love of his life. I had so many mixed feelings it’s like I was happy but sad at the same time also I’m a need a what if episode because what if instead of going to the glow if they just landed the plane would that mean that it would still be in 2024 ?
I think they tried to address that with Ben & Grace and Michaela's telling Jared that "he has to have Hope." Like having children in what's effectively an alternate universe guarantees that you'll have them again in another, which is...fully inaccurate, I think. I, too, would be incredibly messed up if I had an entire child disappear in the blink of an eye.
My theory is, whoever succumbed to judgement, will continue in a loop. After all, they disappeared again. The returning passengers will be questioned all the same after their return but wont face the same treatment, of course.
You know manifest the show could explained what the divine consciousness is where it came from and why did it want to end the world but one of the passengers to have the judgment to decide if the world was worthy of saving or not.
I get that the divine consciousness is basically God, and the Glow is heaven, and that God wanted to destroy humanity just like in Noah's story, but instead of doing so he chose a random group of people (passengers of flight 828) to see if they can represent how good and/or bad humanity has become and if they are worth saving. BUT, yeah, I still don't get the role of Cal, why did God chose a randome kid to be the "holy grail", like why even have a holy grail in the first place, wouldn't it be easier if everyone was just a passenger with callings? What was the propuse of that? And what even are thr callings? They kept mentioning that they are memories of their future but most of the callings were images of things that didn't happened (becuase they solve them before it happenes) so how can they have a memory of something that didn't happened at all??
@@braedentwumasi8893he may have been worthy but I took it instead to mean he was the most innocent and caring. Also he valued life and lives it with humble and respect because he was dying and yet he still had both hope and didn’t complain about the disease. I think Ben became like a second holy grail because he went from just caring about what happened to cal to making sure all the people on the plane had a shot. The only evidence I can state to support my idea is he got to have Eden with grace. I may be wrong but to me that is how I saw the show. The only manifest was a good show. The only thing that I was sour on imo, was that olive should of been able to get the callings as a full circle thing. Everyone but her got a calling in the family and I feel that was wrong because to me olive more than proved she deserved to experience what the others had
I'm kinda curious if the 828 passenger have the same power as zeke or not. Because as we all know, zeke got a special power that can sense other's feeling and even transferred it after he survive the death date.
@@yuma7398 what confuses me when the federal agents and cops came to investigate at the end, 11 passengers were reported missing. Daly wasn't included in that number and I don't know if there were others not included in that number as well.
@@terranceburrs5832 Ah... true! But maybe because he isn't an actual "passenger" since he is the captain? But even if that was the reason he wasn't mentioned it still is quite a big thing if a plane lands without the main captain lol
@@yuma7398 upon dwelling on it some more. I believe Daly and the other passengers who met their judgement and died tragically on their death dates got wiped out of existence. So when the passengers reboarded the plane at the end they became the only recorded passengers to ever board that plane along with the others who were brought back who died unfairly; but Daly and the others who met their judgement was wiped out of existence and ended up never being recorded as passengers on that plane, so that's why there was only 11 reported missing.
@@t8spy526 don't know if it was canceled. I would love more of it but. the way it ended, it ended with closure to where it really didn't need more. I assume you watched it already?
This is not an explanation. This is a recap....all videos are just recaps on this show. Basically closed captioning. I have so many questions still. Did Ben get olives Voicemail or was that scene just pointless. Are the present day characters just erased from time (Older Olive, Traumatized Eden, ). TVA is going to have some pruning to do or maybe the writers already did that?
The voicemail was pointless that was just for the audience to hear what she needed to say. Ben did the right thing anyway so he didn’t need to hear it. Yes they are either erased from time, the world ended or they’re still living, who knows.
Before the got back into the past, the judgement scene. I wish that couldv'e been done better since to just see a black fog entity that was needed to be cast out is really confusing. Nevertheless, Manifes was still a great show. Just wished it hadn't got cancelled a buncha times then done again by another company.
Yeah yeah the ending was kinda interesting but in choosing the ending they did, the writers and creators left about 200 untied loose ends for the fans to quarry. First of all anybody who knows about time travel movies knows that RULE #1 is that you DO NOT reveal events of the future bcuz you'll disrupt the timeline. Ben's dumb azz immediately tells Grace, "Oh that's Saanvi Bal, she's gonna cure Cal." Just ruined the timeline. Michaela's dumb self runs out and immediately tries to woo up a strange taxi driver, who is Zeke, who at that time instance is still a depressed alcoholic instead of waiting for the correct time stamp in the future to meet him in the cave. Saanvi goes in a lesbian, falls in love with Ben years later, then returns back in time knowing what happened between her & Ben but goes running back to her girlfriend. Which means shes emotionally confused about her own feelings. Then there's Cal. I don't even wanna talk about the confusion which is Calvin Calamander Stone. Too much to discuss. I just feel like the writers were just randomly selecting plot twists just to keep the show running.
As much as I enjoyed this series, when one of the most powerful beings in the universe with the power to end the planet Earth with a single thought is talked out of armgeddon by Michaela Stone slightly raising her voice,it was a bit of an anti climax for me. Also when Vance went to look at the dent left in the ground (presumably somehow flight 828) unless I missed it,we never got an explanation for this?
@@yuma7398 If anyone has seen the movie "About Time," it's impossible for them to ever see Eden again even if they decide to have another kid. They would have to procreate at the exactly same time, under the exact same conditions, and the exact sperm has to fertilize the exact same egg. Eden will just have to be a memory for the passengers. Unfortunately, it's the same case for the other passenger that gave birth in the DC.
I am glad I didn’t pay to watch the ending of a series I loved so much be ruined in the last episode. I have never believed the Michaela/Zeke relationship. I wanted this journey to make her understand that she really did love Jared and that Zeke was a fixation brought on by the situation. To end up with a Zeke that doesn’t know her, hasn’t been through the changes (Remember who he was before he went into the cave) just makes me sad. The Stones are better off presumably by what they know but what else was truly accomplished? I don’t know. It just wasn’t an ending to the show I started on NBC and I don’t think it would have ended that way if it had gone the five years it was meant to on the network.

i love the show but im confused at the ending , does it mean that the plane never disappeared from the start and it was like all in there head like a dream or something , please explain if poss
They first traveled forward in time, to where the show takes place, and then backwards to the past. As to why they wear their old clothes but have wounds/the dragon. Maybe god was like, lemme help you have proof it happened? Wild spitball from me haha. it was a wacky show.
Maybe its a multiverse, hmm probably past present future are all connected by some event like the storm opening wormhole that why ancient people was able to see silver dragon/plane at the sky, they just got back to their own timeline, will still be able to make the future timeline coz they have the memory to it... they will still end up with the people they were supposed to meet
