That yellow thingy on top of the halo-halo is leche flan. It is a mixture of egg yolk, condensed and evaporated milk, then steamed with caramelized sugar. Halo in Filipino means "to mix". Halo-halo is "mix-mix" 😂. You need to mix all the ingredients together to enjoy the halo-halo. It's like those ingredients having a party inside your mouth. 😋
Nadir vai you are killing it. You are so calm with the locals and so friendly. Your interaction with the Filipino locals seems so sweet and gives positive vibe. Wish you luck InshaAllah.
Filipinos are so amazing..Wholesome feeling seeing this. Also there are many kids in the road enjoying there life.I wish one day I will take this hospitality of them
I just learn about your vlogs about 2 weeks ago and now I can’t stop watching all your other videos. Ingat and enjoy your stay in the Philippines, Nadir!
So happy with the people of Tondo, the streets are clean, the vendors food are hygienic. For those who didn't know Tondo is a district in the city of Manila, it's not dangerous as it used to be, it's big and colourful area.
@@classical381 once been the haven of gangs and people being hunted by the government but over time, the area is slowly cleaned thanks to its settlers either get forced to or willingly relocated to nearby provinces/cities, criminals included
Filipinos from other islands like Visayas and Mindanao migrated to Manila starting in the 60's without education while brought their whole families nowhere to start, only knew farming and fishing end up settling as illegal dwellers many in Tondo district. End up being gang members who did crimes like holdup, snatching even in kidnapping and so on. Gladly, many of the children are educated by free government sponsored education and now the newest members even youngs are putting small businesses.
Oh, wow, Halo Halo! The is one halo halo spot I loved so much. What sets it apart is that it's topped with ube ice cream and grated cheddar cheese❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Nadir go to the North of the Philippines Regions 1-2-3 and you will find more interesting things.....Go to my home province of Ilocos and Pangasinan....and especially BAGUIO CITY bro!
most of the Filipinos accept if you put the camera on them because its our pleasure to be featured in a vlog as some of us were dreaming to be a vlogger or content creator also lols just like me😊😊😊 please try our kakanin i forgot what its called in english. its one of the reason why Filipinos have sweet tooth.😊

Got a mouthwatering feeling right here now😅😅 indeed halo-halo is one of the fave desserts in my country.... Filipinos are happy people, we get to smile even at our hardest times.... Thank you for visiting that place despite of the people says it's harmful 😊 Huge fan here.. enjoy your stay and hope you're having fun..
Halo halo is tagalog for mix mix.. so you are supposed to mix everything when eating it.. plus the sugar or sweet stuff will be at the bottom so mixing it from bottom will make that sweet..😊
@@NadirOnTheGo Hi Nadir.. have a safe trip to Siargao. It is one of our best islands.. Hope you will have time to visit towns nearby Manila too like our place (Antipolo City in Rizal). This is more like mountain and lake views but only 1-2hrs away from Manila depending on the traffic. There are metro options too to go here. Our patron in Antipolo church is the Nuesta Señora de la Paz y buen viaje (Spanish for Our Lady of Peace and good voyage).. which is mostly visited by those who love to travel for good voyage. Aside from the church, there's also the Taktak falls, Mystical cave, Pinto Art Museum, and lots of cafes with stunning overlooking view.. 😊
Nadir you’re very polite and kind 💙😎 Too many beans in that halohalo 😂 When you go2 Siargao try the buko halohalo. Also there’s a lady who makes pande coco bread for 5 pesos each. She sells them on the sidewalk and you’ll find her across the church.
This is the misconception people have about the Philippines. Yes, there are crimes..... But 99.9% of the time, they do not bother the tourists and foreigners. I always felt super safe in the Philippines anywhere I go. And the locals are super friendly
In Ugbo, halo-halo is overrated; instead of the traditional evaporated milk, they now use creamier evaporated milk. You should try halo-halo in Chowking because it has the classic taste of halo-halo and the ingredients are still crisp, as compared to halo-halo in Ugbo, which is gooey.
@@fcgalaxy233 You are wrong again. They are not related or even the same. Google it and you'll find out. I'm from the Philippines, and I know the difference of those 2 plants
I feel like if you're serving halo halo to a foreigner it should be mandatory to instruct them to mix before eating. I see so many vloggers doing the same mistake.
The saleslady should have explained to you that you should mix everything first before you take your first spoon. otherwise it will taste blunt. Halo means mix since we Filipinos love to repeat words that's why it's called "Halo Halo" wc means "mix mix" There are many variations of the Halo Halo but the concept is the same. It's an array of fruits and processed sweets together w shaved ice and evaporated milk it's actually very simple since the Philippines is such a humid country it was invented to ease ones agony of the scourging heat of the sun ☀️
