We have two like that 18000 LOMMA has down here in the caribbean Trinidad. These are very good cranes ranking #01 in my adjudication because it answers back to the MANNESMANN & TEREX 2800 DEMAG. giving more lift and smooth operations It's just like a grove ......."A HUGE WINCH"......."NO FREEFALL AND AIR CONTROLS" like the older ones
I ran lommas first 18000. It was handled by Burkey out of their Pittsburgh office and bare leased to Stevenson, LOCAL 150 Chicago. Doesn't get any better. But the reason I'm talking to you is had I swung iron that slow with the 200&200 I had I would of thought Jimmy would have come unglued. Maybe I had it wrong and could still be on that power plant in Missouri and not retired in 2011. Whats really going on, do we drift em in to place on the ground?
@chevyken86 well good for you sir that must of been an expierence, I saw it in operation with the pedal to the floor and slow is the name of the game " HYDRAULIC SLOW" SLOW AS THE HUGE BLOCK GOES UP INTO THE AIR. Very powerfull the manitowoc answers, off course Manitowoc lives up to its name
@Balenza345 And im proud to be an american for those are our stealth bombers and our super advanced warships not to mention some pretty nice trucks and cranes
first off theres no such thing as a non union iron worker that's just the way it is second of all im a union operator I worked right next to one of these on a scrubber project at a power plant I was on a cat 330 hoe I don't run cranes but the 18000 is an awesome machine the operator let me in the cab very nice rig
give me a sky horse anyday they took the skill out of running a crane when they took away cluch`s and brakes you`ll never hear the cable sing on that crane to rat boy why do your southren RAT steel erectors get runoff up here in central ohio IF YOU AIN`T UNION YOU AIN`T SHIT why work for less if your so handy
