This expression or version of Manjani comes from the Bamako region of Mali. It's era is of 60's + 70's, duet style, meaning usually played with just djembe and Sangban... looking forward to finishing off my full recording with Sangban player as the next two thirds of this song differ considerably, especially in complex half-time (bpm) poly-rhythms in 4/4 over 12/8. Also the triplet n sextuplet rolls seem to fly out alot towards the later of the crescendo of this version of song.
