For the entire tournament - only 2 teams seem to have had a chance and also high projected probability of beating India for a good part of their batting inning - and came very close to beating India - Pakistan and South Africa. As an Indian American, I would say Pakistan team has nothing to feel ashamed about, they were a tad unlucky in this T20 WC, and am glad that USA got lucky with Pakistan. Also, just like India was very unlucky in 1992 ODI WC, and Pakistan had a lot of luck going it's way in that same year, when they won it all - had things worked out a little different, you never know, both these results could easily have turned the other way - with Pak winning in 2024 and India in 1992. I remember 1992 like it was yesterday, I was working in my first job after college in Pune, and Sanjay and Sachin were the batting stars on the team - we were sure India would win the tournament, but weather paid spoil sport . Those were the days when DLS used to be infuriating and illogical - I guess DLS and us fans adjusted over time, and have learnt to tolerate each other. So happy that India won finally - they have been so good for so long, and have not had luck going their way. Well deserved.

On batting pitches Virat would have struggled a bit? He hit 38 sixes in the IPL this season. Rohit hit 23. Sanjay Manjrekar should not be allowed to talk about cricket. If Virat was allowed to play his natural game, he would have outshined the "master" (Rohit). This is the first time Rohit hit more than 200 in a t20 wc if I'm not wrong. The utter selfish desperation, which he himself has claimed that he wanted to win this trophy as a captain is proof that he wanted the glory for himself more than for the country. I still don't understand how naive people are. Rohit Sharma is not a very good human being. We saw that when Hardik was being trolled by his own fans, he didn't once come to his support and give out a statement. Rohit without Hardik and Bumrah wouldn't have won more than 2 IPL trophies. His fans are dumb; he is a cunning politician. Pretty mediocre captaincy today as well. On a swinging pitch you don't bowl your 3rd pacer in the powerplay when the ball was seaming a little and bring on your mystery spinner in Kuldeep which eventually made him lose his rhythm because he went for a few runs. Wasting Bumrah in the middle and not completing Hardik's quota of overs is a disgrace. Not to forget, he did not send Hardik ahead of Shivam Dube today. He didn't want Hardik to make a massive difference (which he eventually made because of the situation). Rohit is a selfish captain and you can't convince me otherwise.
