unbelievable wisdom... Manly talks about humans having more devices and less time in their life. This couldn't be more true today in the 21st century with smartphones and mass entertainment.. yet Manly was talking about this back in 1959!! "as these devices, man's standards of living have risen accordingly, he takes for granted a level of luxury his ancestors did not visualize, considers himself impoverished if he cannot live in this luxury."
