Roy Jones should be the only one talking btw, The other two clearly aren’t watching the same fight. Saying Algieri should of stuck to the outside and used the jab more, he literally tried to do that for 12 rounds but Mannys hand speed was too much. Nearly every time Chris would throw out his jab Manny would step into counter with a straight or a 1-2 lol The kid wouldn’t of lasted 12 rounds if he tried to outbox Manny from the beginning, there was a clear disparity in speed, power, & even footwork between the two. Pacqiaou is clearly leagues about Algieri here and it showed the entire night. He’s only hope was to somehow hope Manny got tired so he could get ahold of him and put him down, without the danger of being countered. I mean you can’t here Algieri’s punches connecting at all, but every time Manny lands you here the connection.
@@norvinzor i actually thought the same but honestly i really think manny was talking it easy, he wasnt wanting to be so vicious....im sure...he had so many options so many things to do but stayed cool....

They think that they can tire Manny out but he's a fireball with a massive amount of energy that doesn't go away. At his age and size he's still got it like he was in his 30s. His humbleness is so awesome plus a sportsman like no other. I know I really appreciate that as a fan.
No disrespect to American boxers but manny vs Mexican boxers is only real thrill to watch coz u can see blood, drama, toe to toe no backing worth of every single penny 😊😊😊 nothing but respect 👏
Lol! The funny thing is that Algieri was doing everything that boxing trainers tell their fighters to do when fighting strong southpaws - move to your left, circle, and keep your left foot outside of the southpaws right foot. But Pacquiao was still able to land a solid left because he is so damn fast, and he doesn't need to plant his feet to throw a power shot.
@@user-sg8kq7ii3yExactly. No plant. Almost a lean jump foward with a combo left right. Right didn't even need to land, but was already coming. I've never seen anything like Pacquiao and never will again
God bless you Manny you're a great fighter you have a lot of heart thank you for the very much entertainment that you give the world God bless you again in Jesus name
I'm now in my mid 60's I have been a fan of boxing since I was a kid from the Philippines, I remember the Filipino Boxer, Flash Elorde. When I was a teenager, we moved to California and I continued to follow the sport and learned the history of the Great boxers from 1900 to this day now 2022. One thing I can say is that Manny Pacquiap is one of the Greatest sportsman in the art of Boxing as Jack Dempsey, Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali. He is a natural born athlete, unique style, his humilty and sportmanship is blessed as his tenacity skills and natural ability A universal phenomenon as He is certainly one of the few greatest in the are of Boxing as Jack Dempsey, Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali.
Haha! I still love it...that moment the guy was talking about the game plan that they'll knock Manny on 9th or 10th and before he finished the statement, his fighter land on his butt! HAHA
Algieri is a sportsman and does himself credit in the ring. However; his coach (TJ Dillashaw's older brother?) was coaching Algieri funny style in this fight.
Fr, like I just can't take that coach seriously whenever he pretends things are going according to plan right after a round with 2 Algieri knockouts, like forget the obvious cope by the coach, what about some real advice or assessment? Idk anything about Chris or boxing at all since I don't follow the sport too intently but I hope that if he's still active he gets a different coaching team behind him, the one he had in this fight was just wasting his talent.
Algieri was outclassed, but you had to admire his fortitude. He never gave up trying. I'm a Manny fan, but I like this kid Algieri. Yeah, he retreated a lot, but who doesn't when Manny is in the ring?
Freddie Toledo Camuy, Puerto Rico
With HBO commentary, they make the fight more interesting and you actually learn something. With Top Rank, they point out the obvious and then bore you to sleep.
Aligeri only got knocked down 4 times. The other 2 knock downs were really slips. Aligeri really did better than I thought he would. He managed to not get put to sleep. He was still standing at the end of the twelfth round. He may have run a marathon but what could he do against someone like Pacquiao?
@@WBB1981 ....agree w/U. We know how Packiao fights. I give Algieri lots of credit.....he gave a great fight + a good speech @ end , accepting Packiao its top of tops. They were both here to put a nice fight...& they did it. Packiao Mom was great too...together w/all Phiklipines people
At this time, people are so amazed seeing Manny winning this fight, but at that time, some fans are not satisfied with Manny's performance because they just want to see every Manny's fight to be finished by knockout. For me, we are lucky seeing fight/s like David & Goliath in real life.
I honestly did not see any difference between Algieri caged vs non-caged. Mostly running with a few stops every round to throw a punch and absorb 2x-3x more thrown by Manny.
Everyone loves Manny, so I don't think it's intentional disrespect, but for some reason they do that in a lot of his fights. In the Cotto fight, the announcers kept hyping up every little thing Cotto did, even while Manny was making him a total punching bag. Same thing in Pac vs. Thurman.
Chris had the worst corner I’ve seen in a very long time. The balding guy with the headband was the worst. Not once did he tell his fighter he was behind. Never once did he give advice to change the strategy that was completely terrible game plan. Hats off to Chris for being an outstanding competitor with a respectable attitude. He showed the champ complete respect and I wish him the best. But please fire everyone in your corner.
Bro I literally been arguing to my self about it his training staff is garbage and you can tell that boxer was made not naturally because the trainer is telling him exactly what the thinks he needs too do when in reality it should be him figuring stuff out with the trainer
Points has nothing to do with a boxing trainers job. In fact, focusing on points will make you a worse fighter. Strategy and game plan... yes, but Chris was way to small, inexperienced and maybe too nice...
i personally didn't like the decision on algieri-provodnikov fight everyone knows that provodnikov won but what can i say it's boxing expect the unexpected. if algieri didn't won that fight, it would've been pacquaio vs provodnikov, in fact it was provodnikov who spar with manny during the time manny is fighting bardley for the first time and provodnikov looks tired beaten up after they're sparring session he didn't expect the power and speed of manny
bro just look at how provodnikov just beat the hell out of algieri and still gave the decision win to algieri?? think again bro the no.1 contender should've been provodnikov for pacman's wbo title instead of algieri but i guess this is boxing anything can happen and this is all in the past and it's way back on 2014 so just move on i guess what's done is done
