He could have been a God in the lightweight division if he played it safe, but he wants all the smoke, hence, he is fighting in welterweight division, not even his natural weight class, against much stronger and bigger fighters, nothing but respect for the Pacman. If Errol believes in his size advantage and chooses to become a stationary target, what happened to Diaz will happen to him.
