Gotta love the way this competition is more about having fun than winning. At 5:10 defense is a completely different trick but they are all okay with it because it made sense. Someone probably commented this before, but I'm rewatching this competition (and it's definitely worth seeing twice).

Hate to say it even though I'm a fan of Andy. I'm very happy to see him lose here, due to the unorthodox trick selection with the use of his rails. Almost seems unfair. anyone who doesn't know rails on the board makes moving into different tricks easier due to the leverage or space to creates, also it's always slick they never don't slide unless you're going less than 1mph.

Was really looking forward to this round - Jake and Andy are so different from each other stylistically! I'm always blown away by how much air Jake gets on the mini and he's so super-clean. I was happy that Andy kept the button-mashing to a minimum this round - while technical and impressive, not necessarily the most artful transition skating at the end of the day - was hoping to see a dark slide! Anyways, that stated, Jake did a great job on defense which made all the difference this round. Thanks Woodward for another great video!

Andy gives these guys a run for their money because he can literally skate ANYTHING and calls tricks "first try only try" all the time. He just premiered his new Powell wheel and its pretty insane coned on the out side and flat on the inside with the bearings on the inside so you get the full truck and also easy lock ins and slappies on the outside. This man is a national treasure with 4 generations of tricks packed into him. Not taking anything away from Jake, but Andy is the total package

And if you are gonna tank your chance at a real career wearing a helmet why not minimize how stupid you look and just wear a normal skate helmet like vert skaters do. That brimmed helmet with his stupid long hair and dirt stache combined with his psuedo hippie personality just induce eye rolls and make it impossible to take serious. Having a helmet on isnt even fair, its alot easier to be brave doing a trick when you know your head isn't in any danger.
