While on holiday in Belgium the farmer was harvesting the field next to our caravan site and kindly gave me permission to detect it.
I finally found my first hammered coin - and it is amazing - so stay tuned to this series to see it.
I did this over a number of visits so this video is split into several parts covering most of those visits (as I had camera issues one one).
This is Part 1 in which we start to find remnants from WW1 including a .303 shell and artillery shell parts.
Stay tuned for the other parts where lots more is found including Napoleonic Infantry buttons, possibly a German military button and best of all my first hammered coins which is simply fantastic.
I will show all of my finds at the end of the last video - and there are a LOT!!
