"The second I'm ready to inject my two pennies I'm like Bruce and Brandon- I'm two dead Lee". I've listened to hip hop from biggie and pac, all through to Big pun, back to nwa and public enemy- mos def, all of them.....And that is one of the greatest and most intelligent lines I've ever heard. Mad respect.
@child661 have you listened to 'power of the spoken'? Or Illzilla's wasteland? Jeremedy kills it on both records and no doubt will be on Mantra's new record. The dude is one of the creative cats working today. Have faith and wait before you make up your mind.
@fra0006 it's a play on words between the two. "too deadly" and "two dead lee" being the cross reference. He's saying that he is "too deadly" by saying that he is like bruce and brandon - two dead lee(too deadly). I thought that was obvious.
"This right here is the kind of beat that speaks to me" Shit yeah mantra, this the type of music that speaks to everyone :D keep up the great work, and the new album kicks ass man loving every minute of it :D
@xG3R4RDx i listen to those bra, huge fan of daddy kane...but i just thought the line was dope as. And I'm saying it's one of the greatest lines (in my opinion) i just thought it was really smart dude. I listen to literally all old-school hip hop and i know soo many rappers are better, i just loved the line bro.
"Some chase fame, others obtain greatness. Some innovate, while others make immitations. Quick to claim they've been changing the game, when the only game they've got is rotating in their playstations." Favourite part!
hahaaha Dude kills it, but what else were u suckers expecting? rippin it up Rob, haha you look blazed as when the cam zooms in at the end man haha got them chinese eyes goin
@fra0006 I did, it appears to me as if you're correcting someone for saying it was "too deadly" and saying it was actually two dead lee. When in fact it's a combination of the two.
Checked it out, I really like the beat and the rap. Im not sure if I heard the lyrics correctly but if I did I wanted to say I really respect you for rapping and trying to over come autism/aspergers. Keep up the good work!
@GrimSlimShadyCrazy I'm not convinced with what you've stated. Mantra is an underground rapper. Listen to his "Understand This" - he said he never sell out. Also listen to his "Bad News".
bro your on another level. love rockin ya shit through my headphones. ya tempo n style is untouchable. keep it comin. p.s. to the 6 people who clicked dislike have another real good listen n if ya still feel that way then rap is obviously not your thing. you werent chosen for a reason.
Another well done Rappertag, if it wasn't for me David Fubex being the 33rd MC to be called in, Mantra's Rappertag may not have existed... Please check out "Rappertag #33"...
