I am reading this book and I must say - what a brilliant book by a brilliant historian! They say a good historian is one who goes beyond the facts and uses them to spawn an interesting story - By that yardstick, Manu is a master story teller! Highly recommended read for anyone who wants to catch a glimpse of Kerala's history for past 300 years! All the best Manu and please write more books :)

Why the book is called ivory throne? travancore royal family is an important part of kerala history and future. Sadly no one knew their history. Manu you have done a great job!!

Its good to have a honest perspective of history.But still we cross verify British archives for the truth??? That part I can't digest.He is young and good work.But when go through the same research materials after the age of 35 ....still ...can he come to same conculsions about history?????Best of luck.Because knowledge always flowed from east to west....not the other way around.... Metaphysical.....
