Regardless of what it takes, I'm trying my best to keep up with what's growing. Really concerned about breaking the layer, so I may have an idea now with the fertilizer distributor!! Stay tuned for the idea in an upcoming video! Thank you all for the support and following along the journey !! #conventional #hoeing#manualweeding#blessed

Corn looks fine for your first crop. No crop is perfect, you just have to learn to find the positive. Then improvise and over come.

Nothing wrong with a little manual weed control when you need it. I'm really impressed at how clean the fields look overall. I was a little worried about wheel spacing with the 1 row. That stinks. Good that it has good fertilizer parts on it. I've seen guys broadcast urea over corn as tall as yours, and they did ok with it. I put all mine on before planting. I'd love to side dress it in, just don't have a good way to do it yet. I think you're doing a heck of a job. Hang in there Nelson! Hope you have a good week!
@Pennies_on_the_dollar
@Pennies_on_the_dollar 4 месяца назад
I figured to grab the tall stuff it would help with the spreading of the rest of it!! I cant complain about the weed control from the PE , very impressive!! I can't believe I did that, I guess the 44" of tobacco are more common for rear one row and bigger Farmalls. I do think a super C two row setup will be in my future 😉😁 I may have a plan to more "accurately " place the urea, and not break that layer with a cultivator!! 🤔😉😂 . I do think a banding fertilizer output with the planter will be in order for next season!! Thank you my friend for those kind words, advice and all your support!!! You are a great friend and I really appreciate all you do to help out Evan!! Hope things are well and have a great week sir!! Thank you for always being here!! 😁😁👍👍🌽🌽🇺🇸🇺🇸

When your land base is on the smaller side compared to the "big" operation, every extra bushel harvested matters. I've walked my bean fields with a hoe in hand. I was sparring with some of the herbicide resistant weeds swinging my sharpened hoe like a sword slashing through the field.

Gotta do what you gotta do at times Mr Ben!! Been done this way for years, and I'm not stranger to it. Can you "how" hundreds and thousands of acres like y'all raise...no, but for me it is keeping things afloat right now 😉😉 Thank you my friend for always being here , I really appreciate that !! I hope things are well your way!! 😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🌽🌽🌽🌾🌾🌱🌱

Considering all the trees that were growing in your fields, the corn looks really good. When you re done hoeing in your corn you can come do mine.😉 Seems like a person is always racing the clock and weather.😁🍻🍻🛻🚜🚜🌽🌽🇺🇸🇺🇸🌱🌾🌾👨‍🌾

Yes, It sure is a beautiful sight knowing what it looked liked a few years back!! Blessed for sure!! I did learn one thing...at 47 I'm not near as agile and flexible as I was in my teens 🤣🤣😂😂 That ole "hoe" wore blisters on my hand for sure!! Time and lack of it, sure has crimped me up this season!! I can't imagine the stress y'all go through during a season!! Thank you my friend for always being here, I really appreciate that!! You know I would be there in a min!! I am behind for sure, it I will get caught up!! 🌱🌱🌽🌽🇺🇸🇺🇸😁😁😁🚜🚜🌾🌾🍻🍻🍻

❤🎉😊Great job Nelson! I remember hoeing corn right to the east of the farm house as a young boy! The area behind the rent house was a cornfield while growing up on the farm! I hoed cut and stacked the stalks right there! I was 7-8 years old when remembering😊those days and years lol 😝
