😳🦧 so silicon the chemical element comes from silica which is basically sand, a Silica Oxide. The Silicon is removed in an electric arc furnace and then reacted with methyl Chloride and then further reacted with water to remove the Chloride atoms leaving behind pure unadulterated Silicone. The good stuff 👌

OSHA don’t give a damn about what happens over there. Gotta make sure it’s cost prohibitive to make such things here, that’s all. Make sure manufacturing jobs stay over there where the workforce is enormous and wages are next to nothing. No safety equals low overhead cost, someone gets hurt or sick, bring in the next guy, there’s a hundred men looking for work within a few blocks of this place I bet. Prolly lined up at the door every day hoping to fill a recent opening. This world sucks, we need to be retaught a very harsh lesson. 🌎 ☄️

Grind the isolated silicon into powder. 2: Combine Powder With Methyl Chloride, apply heat. 3: Distill the Mixture. Apply precise variable heating stages. 4: Addition of Water 5: Polymerization of the Silicone

If you are talking about Silicon element, which is a semiconductor; Silicon is obtained from silica, which is a compound of silicon (not sure whether it is a compound or ore). And silica is most commonly found in sand.

Correction, the process is the manufacture of neutral sodium silicate. after the silica and ash melting process, the crystal is formed, which will be autoclaved with water and liquid sodium hydroxide, thus generating sodium silicate in this process.

Just imagine how much a tube of silicone would cost if made in America. Look at the conditions of these "factories". If American standards were applied one tube would cost at least 90 dollars. Normally 7 to 15 depending on size.
