I was 9 when I was there and cheering him on, I had lost my voice from chanting and It broke me when he just keeled over and died. I cried for hours.

Thistlecrack was the young punk on the block beaten all before him. Many Clouds the older Champion of Aintree, what an exceptional performance Many Clouds put in, a real warrior of a horse. Sadly paid the ultimate price for his exertions....this was the only thing to make me cry in 30 years. Should make a film about him. What a hero...warrior.

I reckon he was not only the best race horse ever he was surely the bravest

Who would have ever thought many clouds would have bled into his lungs. My friends horse died in the same manner, but she was in her stable

The class of that race...the top two were well clear of the wonderful Smad Place (who had a lot of form lines with Many Clouds) and after Smad Place it's about 10 minutes before any other horse crosses the line.

Look at him putting his head down... that's what genuine horses do I miss you Clouds...hope you're in a better place now with Exotic Dancer

amazing how thistlecrack remained on the bridle until the last was still very impressed with that even though beaten. But who cares about the outcome as we lost a super horse :-(

Strange how he seemed perfectly okay immediately after the race.

Many clouds is so relaxed watch his lugs. The reason he looked ok is because it takes time for the blood to fill his lungs.

Many Clouds was type of TB. Bet though he rode from the forehand.

rip many clouds, still to this day dont understand why the whip wasnt used alot sooner on thistlecrack he didnt have enought room to change gear
