@@Koen1702 well I think I've been spoiled by playing on PC with incredible graphics. I have a 3090 that I mine and game with. Also I'm more of a...handbrake yourself around the corner..type guy. I never met a wall I didn't love. Lol. I like grid legends. Has good gameplay. Not too much content but fun for a short period

@@Cblan1224 basically you like arcade games, not simulation. if you learn to drift in gt, its a lot more rewarding than grid. grid can be fun in its own right js

@@Cblan1224 there's a hydraulic brake for drifting in the extreme section of the tuning shop. its much better than the stock brake

It is fixed. After an update, I had to do the initial config again, and this time changing the exposure actually... changed the exposure.

It also worked in the pre-release build. So they broke it in the day one patch somehow! Glad it’s fixed.

@@derekreed4910 not true. For displays like A90J the peak lum is much higher. So the 14 clicks will not be getting full advantage of the more advanced heat sync and display

@@Fendera1 just thought i share it with the world cause polyphiony digital didnt said a word. Seems like a secret patch. But the brights are still overbrighten in scapes. So there you have to compensate with the camera it self. The in game slider dosnt effect the scapes brighness,

True but if you think about it. It’s pretty cool we have this much control over how a game looks and hdr is truly amazing if set well. We never had this kind of control before and games didn’t look this good

@@Ray-dl5mp we shouldn't need this much control. Games can look better because of the technology, how they should look is down to the game developers, not the user. HDR should be implemented seamlessly, with no fuss. You don't have to change your settings everytime the resolution changes. You don't have one setting for DVD's, another for some BluRays and different for other BluRays. Same for Dolby Audio vs DTS. My receiver takes care of sound automatically. HDR should be the same. It should just work without lifting a finger.

edit: if you have an LG oled like myself change the below settings to 14 clicks, not 15 like I thought he was saying earlier. 4:45 for reference so destiny definitely looked more washed out with the dlc. I ended up setting in game brightness midpoint to 0 (make sure HDR is still on in game) and it looked a million times better. I didn't do this until after completing the dlc campaign on one of my characters. My HDR settings were also slightly different than what I saw from this vid at 3:10. I had followed his advice before, but my settings for the first 2 HDR images were simply one click into dark after the images went blank. I have now changed to his latest 1000 nit recommendation and it appears things look great in destiny. EDZ still has that sort of light fog look in some areas. Throne world looks amazing, europa looks great, and so does the moon. I didn't go to the rest, but I figured a darker, brighter, and mixed location would be good enough to see comparisons.

Set your system hdr brightness to 1000 according to his settings at 4:456, then adjust destiny brightness midpoint to 0. If you dont have an LG OLED refer to 3:10

@@InTheZoneAC thanks for this. I will give it a try. D2 went from jaw dropping to washed out with the latest update. It’s so disheartening for my main game.

There is/was a 60hz game mode microstutter bug though as well which once you notice it is extremely irritating. To easily see this, slowly pan around the screen, ideally something like a static 2d map. You'll see the microstutter every few seconds. A remedy for this is to use VRR mode, but then that has its own caveats. As much as I love the x900h, it feels like there's always an issue that is trying to make you seek greener pastures. If I had known OLED burn-in was highly exaggerated I'd have gone with the CX instead. Cheers and happy gaming. Edit: Look up 23.976 fps bug as well. Or don't and save your sanity. Sony did us dirty and this will be my last time buying a TV from them.

I the calibration method, described on this video, but in the HDR settings I have got the sun clearly grey. In his previous video over a year ago he suggested that you have to go up until the moment you don't see the sun at all. So it's best to calibrate HDR using the 15 clicks or using the calibration he mention in his other video? Thanks in advance!!

the first video is for lg tv but if you have sony or Samsung, do the 15 clicks in the first and the second, the third is 0 clicks. Don't forget to put your tv un game mode

Long-Press the Home button on your DualSense, then press up and navigate to the right until you highlight the big Gear icon. Press X. You’re now in the PS5 system-wide settings menu. Scroll down until you have highlighted “Screen & Display” and press X. You are now inside the system’s Screen & Display settings list. Scroll down and find Adjust HDR. You have arrived! :)

@BlownMacTruck: Unfortunately professionalism alone doesn't get the views and revenue to keep the channel going. As you can see, HDR game analysis/ settings videos generally don't get as many views as our other TV videos, so we're seriously considering just stopping doing them altogether.

I love these videos Vincent - maybe consider uploading these types of videos to a side channel to this main channel instead of dropping altogether? That will ensure consistency in main channel content and views while also developing a second side income for the company
