This video is like 9x longer than your normal. Color me impressed. Protection /would/ equal one half of Cover Move's benefit, but the idea is also to max out one's defense, so both it and Defense are equally lore accurate. I did not expect the Walking Fortress to include so many Bard levels. I love that one of the cons for Maple's build is "no Flying Turtle". I also love that Sally is canon "swashbuckler" but you make her a monk-wizard. Seriously, I agree with you and I appreciate that idea. Monks are under-appreciated in my opinion, and you show how formidable they can be. Does Sally have a higher AC than Miss Walking Fortress? I guess that is her experience as a gamer showing itself. The variable AC also fits with the flavor of the character; it is more to keep track of, and so it is a greater challenge, which is what Risa wanted in the first place.

Yeah, and it was a pain in the ass to edit, let me tell you. Yep, Sally maxes out at 31 AC while Maple's is only 21, but Maple's is *always* 21 (if she has a shield) while Sally's is much more variable like you said. Her base is 16 for Unarmored Defense or 17 with Mage armor. I considered making her a College of Swords Bard instead of a Monk because that would make her potential max AC 39, but I ended up going with Monk for the other defensive things like Evasion and Deflect Missiles instead. Also I didn't want to do 33 levels of bard in one video, that's just too much bard.

One way to make your DM hate you with this build: Turn into a Tarrasque.

Luckily/unfortunately you can't. True Polymorph caps out at CR equal to your level, meaning nothing higher than CR 20, Tarrasque is 30. Of course there's still a multitude of monsters you can change into to give the DM trouble, Polukranos was just the one i found that was the most like the Atrocity form

Can’t you transform your friend into the CR17 Dragon turtle?

you certainly can, but the dream is the flying turtle fortress, and Dragon Turtles are too big to lift with Telekinesis. If you go with something smaller like an ankylosaurus then you run into the issue of multiple concentration spells, or letting the spell last the whole duration and sticking your friend as an animal until you can regain your True Polymorph spell slot, or reducing them to 0 hp intentionally to change them back. The best way I've found is to give Syrup levels in the Spellcaster sidekick class so he can Polymorph himself, then Maple can lift him with Telekinesis, but that would have been a lot to put in one video

@@AtelierGod sure, but then you run into the problem of needing two concentration spells (True Polymorph and Telekinesis) or waiting a full hour to make TP permanent, flying where you need to go, then waiting until the next day to turn them back with TP

@@Dragonfly9078 since you used find familiar which has no time limit just use true polymorph on your familiar and wait an hour, it might not be able to attack that’s true but you’re using it as a flying turtle fortress not an battering ram.

@@AtelierGod That would be ideal, but you can only TP a creature into another creature with CR equal to or lower than the original creature's CR or number of levels, and the familiar is CR 0. If you give it spellcaster sidekick levels though, it can polymorph itself so you don't need to worry about concentrating on two spells, waiting the hour, or the CR restriction since it'll have enough levels to qualify for most things
