@@johnlebzelter4208 how is suggesting an additional item someone likes to a recipe insulting chef Tom? 😂 Sean Brock, Gordon Ramsay and Rene Redzeppi have all done dishes using sweet potatoes and pecans.. but they’re just 3 Michelin star chefs 🥱
I agree...dessert. I like to roast sweet potatoes whole in their peelings. Then when they are cool to the touch I peel them, slice them about a 1/2 thick, then pan fry them in butter and Maple syrup. It goes great with bacon and eggs in the morning for breakfast!! Rock on Chef Tom, another great dish!
Me and the kids just tried out the bacon cheeseburger meatball recipe from a while back(finally) And it was a smash hit!! And I'm pretty sure as sweet potato kinda kids they'll be happy to help with this one as well!
You're joking Tom, I got some sweet potatos I just bought 3 days ago and theyre just sitting on my tables. Finally got a recipe to try. Thanks again and let's be good to one another !
Hey Tom! I'm new to smoking and I only have a Brinkmann Smoke & Grill. Can I get that to 425 degrees? What would your suggestion be? I assume I'd move the coal bin up closer to the pan to get a high temp.
I’m leaning towards desert also a healthy way to desert you have almost completely change my thanksgiving dinner all I need is your Dressing dish not to complicated though , once I win the new Yoder I will be ready to go. Thanks lol👍🏾🙏🏾
Chef Tom - I noticed you put your sweet potatoes into pre-boiling water. I have always heard that you shouldn't do this as it creates uneven cooking compared to starting your potato-like root vegs in a pot of cold water so it all warms up evenly. Have you ever noticed a tangible difference between the two methods?
Here is a link to the full recipe. The spices to purchase are found here also: www.atbbq.com/thesauce/maple-glazed-sweet-potatoes Yes, it can be done in the oven!
