Legendary bro. I never thought id see the culmination of this games story after all these years. Its over, and all of our journeys end here. We saved the maple world.
the man chose to go on a whole path of universal destruction... and all for what???? just to teach the main character a lesson about writing your own destiny?!?!?! JESUS. HE DID NOT NEED TO DO THAT. HE NEEDED A THERAPIST.
Damn i dropped maplestory years ago despite being one of my childhood games. I come back and the black mage has been defeated 2 years ago and i missed it
The dialogue is a bit different in some of the servers here. In TMS, the White Mage says "Don't forget the anger" - the anger that comes from the realisation of not being able to exercise free will as a transcendent, and the helplessness in unable changing the destiny of maple world, thanks to the ancient god who created light, life and time.
I just wish they went deeper with this and showed the Black Mage was right all along and the world is broken and needs to be recreated; and then maybe made Maplestory 2 as an alternative world where he succeeded.
@@zottffss Yeah, when I recorded this video, it was part of that event. After the event ended, these areas, along with the storylines and monsters, became a high level content. Moonbridge is unlocked at level 245, Labyrinth of Suffering (and Verus Hilla) at 250, Limina (along with the Black Mage and the whole scene you saw) is unlocked at level 255.
No, that was what the Six Heroes did (which was, apparently, part of his own plan). Now he's defeated once and for all by the hands of the player - which means no more Black Mage. As for "what boss comes after him", there is another arch-villain named Gerand Darmoor, which is Grandis' Transcendent of Life (he's briefly mentioned in the end of the video). He's NOT fightable yet (maybe in a couple of years - Black Mage became fightable like 10 years since he was first introduced) but he's playing a major part in GLORY's storyline and from what I've seen in KMS things are going to be interesting We'll have to wait for GLORY update to roll out to GMS to see the whole story :)
Lol, Well if you're looking for some reasonable explaination... he was searching for someone who will break the destiny and free him, when he was the White Mage he searched for ways to change the world, however he was restricted by some kind of much greater force, he thought he could resist that, but instead he got corrupted. That's why he did what he did while he was the Black Mage, he wanted to find a way to break free from the destiny the "force" destined for him
I assume you're referring to the Future Henesys/Ereve plot line? Cygnus was never evil, the Future Ereve plot was always a Dream/Nightmare created by Lucid to demotivate the population of Maple World. Hence why the monsters there drop Dream Fragments and Dream Stones.
